In my own personal opinion, there is no one, because some artistry is just so different than others. Like, there are some things that I think she is absolutely above and beyond Gaga's scope. And other things, the complete opposite with Gaga. Same can be said when comparing with others. That said, I cannot deny the impact of a Black woman being considered one of the best of all times. Especially in a highly racialized and politically strenuous time like this? To have Beyonce openly speak about race is something we need. And it honestly makes me truly happy to have Gaga (an openly bisexual woman who very freely and boldly speaks about LGBT, mental health, sexual assault, and gender issues) and Beyonce (a Black woman who openly speaks about race at the intersection of femininity) in the pop world we are living in today. 3 points in and ready for more Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

People can say that she's the greatest artist alive, they have the right to do so. Just as I have the right to consider that to be disrespectful, because it undermines the life work of very serious artists who have dedicated their entire lives to push the boundaries of art.
