I think when he was there to all these events with her he was there as her man and companion not as her agent, they don't usually follow you around everywhere. They are old enough and she has enough professionals around her to make sure their lines don't cross when it comes to business and pleasure. And the rest is up to them. Do I think it lasts? Hmm probably not but if she's happy with a Mister Right Now instead of Mister Right because she's been through enough and she just is letting it go, see where it goes... why should we not be happy for her? At the end of the day, she seems well rounded and grounded which she hasn't been for a long time and if he's helping her in that sense, great. He's older, he's in the business for a while so he's not new to those red carpet events and high profile invitations.
