It's exciting to see fresh faces around here and it makes me remember the days I became a fan in Dec '13...right before the blackout :laughga::duck::madge:

So for the new batch, tell us:

What was the moment that made you go "yasss this bitch is amazing!"

What did you think of her before?

Did you also started binge watching the older stuff once you started stanning, if so what's your fave performance?

What is your wish for the future? (what sound, what project or duet etc)

I can't answer I've been a fan since late 2009 and a stan since 2011 and a hardcore obsessed fan since 2013. :toofunny:

Well I follow Gaga since late 2008. a classmate of mine was stanning her, I googled Gaga and I thought she had a too rock/artificial styling and didn't like her. However, once Poker Face and Paparazzi became hits in my country, I started loving  her songs and liking her as a star. So here we go...

What was the moment that made you go "yasss this bitch is amazing!"

The fact that I was following her from The Fame,  through TFM, through BTW, through ARTPOP, AHS and I never considered myself to be a fan of her all these years + her stronger support for the LGBT community.

What did you think of her before?

Well I already kind of answered it. Once I stared liking her, I thought that she was very talented, but not as beautiful as some other pop stars.

Did you also started binge watching the older stuff once you started stanning, if so what's your fave performance?

Well, some of it... yes... (some of it was already watched!) My all time fave is the bloody Paparazzi performance.

What is your wish for the future? (what sound, what project or duet etc)

TO MEET HER!!!!!!!

But for her I want a pop/R'N'B album (not too electro, not indie)...

P.S. I became a monster shortly before she released Joanne.

Dance. Sex. Art. Pop.

I converted three of my friends over a year long process  It all started with Gaga's Oscars performance, when they finally understood she had talent :awkney: Then because we all love American Horror Story they liked Gaga's acting and craziness in the show. What really turned them into casual listeners/admirers of Gaga was Gaguary 2016 with her Superbowl National Anthem, Bowie Tribute, and Oscars TIHTY performances. They claimed they had no idea she was that good :saladga: Eventually Joanne came out, which they enjoyed, and now after the Superbowl Halftime show they are kind of obsessed. They're not stans but they're big enough monsters that they splurged on tickets. :classy:

HEY!

I've been a loyal fan since around the beginning of ARTOP, when I became addicted to Applause and realised she was a musical genius.

The exact moment I remember was when her new single "Applause" came up when I was browsing YouTube on a boring summer's day. I thought "wow lady gaga, what happened to her" and the artwork caught my eye, so I was interested to hear her new music. I became instantly addicted to it and soon realised she was a musical genius.

I remember in the car saying to my sister, the way she writes music, she's like a new, female Michael Jackson.

I went back and realised that her early Fame days were the epitome of performance art perfection, something that had gone over my head when I was younger.

She drew me in with her musical talent as well as her flair for theatrics and powerful art.

I watched all her performance on YT and the 2009 VMAs had me shook, I knew she was a legend. Talented, diverse, fearless.

I'm also a huge fan of Jazz and I've had her and Tony's album on heavy rotation for years, it's incredible.

I think what draws me in more than any of her incredible creative attributes are her qualities as a person; she's loving, caring, brave, fierce and loyal, and it just makes me will her to thrive all the more.

So I eagerly awaited new music and followed her career, convinced she was hungry to recapture her early days and dominate the pop culture scene after a somewhat unsuccessful pop era, cancelled tour and lashing from the media.

Joanne took me by surprise with its understated tone and authenticity, but I do love it and think it will prove to be timeless, classic album. My respect for her also went up as she didn't feel the need to prove herself or follow trends to recapture fame, she was content with her art and would stand by it regardless of commercial success.

Turns out, that would come anyway! #talentwins

Lmao, Poker Face, Telephone, Judas & Applause were/are unforgettable moments for me. They each contributed to the person/fan I am today.

"What you and I have little monsters isn't just for a moment. It's for life". - best gaga quote ever. I've been a monster from the beginning and she never stops amazing me. She could've said "buy my cd **** you" but she didn't. Instead she saw how broken a lot of us were and she created a "home" (little monsters" where those broken kids could be loved for who they were. She took them in and "glued" them back together. She loved them as if they were her own. That's why I Stan her. PS: I was one of the broken kids and I thank god everyday for her.

I love you monsters. I'd be unfixably broken without you

Beautiful Dirt

What was the moment that made you go "yasss this bitch is amazing!"

Actually, it was pretty gradual for me. Ive always loved Alejandro ever since I was released, but I never really cared enough to look Gaga up, I actually thought she was one of those manufactured auto tuned pop stars that has no say in what she wears/sings/performs, can't really sing live and doesn't write her songs so I just enjoyed the music as it was catchy and didn't care much. Then about a year and a half I made a new friend who is a huge fan and she made me listen to some stuff, then I listened to her Howard Stern interviews and performances and changed my perception of her, though I still was more of a casual listener than fan. It wasn't until Joanne that I started to really love her. But I wouldn't call myself a stan (ikr, sounds wrong to say on a forum dedicated to her, but I just like forums in general and you guys make me laugh so much, that's why I come here).

What did you think of her before?

That she was weird and had little say over her creative outputs :toofunny:

Did you also started binge watching the older stuff once you started stanning, if so what's your fave performance?

Not really, but my old favourite is Gypsy on Howard Stern. My new fav the grammys with Metallica.

What is your wish for the future? (what sound, what project or duet etc)

I hope she really lets herself be completely honest and vulnerable in her songs :) I need some real-ness, that's all.

Ive been listening to her since middle school, so about 8 years ago. Really always loved her but felt too young to really be a "little monster" or whatever you wanna call it. I watched most of her old videos just because it was the rebellious thing to do against my conservative parents and just for the teenage shock factor. I liked some songs from ARTPOP, and for the past few years was really missing my crazy Gaga youtube sessions and then learnt shes releasing LG5 and got really excited for it, so only recently did I sit down and really did my research on her and listened to all her songs, not just the radio/youtube hits. I really resonate with her messages and felt like I could relate to her, especially when I learned about how she was dropped by def jam and then worked her way back up, and it really impacted my life. She's inspired me to be who I want, not some mold my parents wanted me to be, I can pursue the career I really want and succeed!

That is really amazing. It's good that you found someone that you can use as a "help" many people struggle to have a sense of self for years and if she can help you with that, more power to you (and her :hor:)

London GUY

I loved her from age 9 when Just Dance came out, bought the Fame, then TFM then BTW, then in 2012 when I struggled with my sexuality I shunned her in fear of being caught out as a homo, then dragged her when applause came out, listened to Marry The Night in Early 2015 and now I'm back :staymad:
