Prevention against scalpers...

Why don't they make every bought ticket your own? As in, the ticket would have been useable by the buyer only, because of his/her name being on the ticket. Therefore you can't just sell it to anyone else. Or am I thinking way too easy?

Good thing that the packages are sent with names on them.

Ticketmaster ultimately doesn't care so nothing will change. My show is virtual tickets only and there's no transferring them. It's as easy as that, but like I said, Ticketmaster gets their money either way.

As much as I'd love that, it would suck if you bought one for you and your friend and you cant put your friends name on their ticket

Walk down the runway but don't puke, it's okay. You just had 10 donuts today. Without frosting.

Well, I think that option would be available. It's like choosing 2 tickets, and you have to write down the name for the second ticket. :giggle:

I would support that to be honest. Plus make them refundable for 80% of their price so that you can still give ticket back to ticketmaster if you can't go, you wouldn't have to throw ticket in garbage but lost 20% would prevent people from using system as a reservation system they can revoke whenever they want.

Ugh, the idea together would have been great. Scalpers would lose profit because they can't sell their ticket   and have to lose 20% of what they have spent on the ticket.

Still wouldn't work, livenation (Gaga tour organizers) send a lot of tickets to second markets (like Viagogo) to sell them with triple the price, and viagogo would then personalize them for you, that's still cheating; it'll only be hard for amateur (average person) scalpers to resell tickets but for big organizations livenation already deals with them to have a share from the profit. ****ed isn't it?

Don't unless you are super worried. Prices in black market is so high right now because scalpers try to rip off panicking fans. Their prices will also go down with time.

Would be nice. It's all about suppply and demand. What if a show really gets sold out and your only chance to get in is a slightly higher price ticket with a third party seller? What is worse, missing a show because you didn't buy them the first week of sales or having a second chance for an extra fee? And remember, what isn't worth it to you might be worth it to someone else. Scalp fiends suck, I agree, but they have their necessary evil in the mix.

Stand in the light, cast your shadow.
