CNN article - some really annoying comments.

http://www.cnn.com/2...cert/index.html

Madonna stan jealous Gaga is getting publicity, who hasn't done his research.

sigh, read what I just read:

After reading the comments, everyone seems to miss the real point. Lady Gag-me is a talent-less loser who wraps deviancy in the flag of tolerance. Anyone disagreeing with that is branded a "hater". Moreover, she lacks the courage of her convictions by backing down. The MC5 strapped em' on and played the '68 Democratic Convention in Chicago....but miss born-that-way wasn't around to see anything like real righteousness in music. For once, it's nice to see intolerance meet intolerance head on.

I commented to him, I couldn't stand it

My comment doesn't even appear :rollsweat: Why censor this:

" lacking courage of her convictions? It's one thing to be brave and trying to get a message out there. It's another thing putting your own live + other lives at risk.

And, it's ok if you don't like Lady Gaga, tastes are different, but don't use **** arguments to defend your view on her (ie 'talentless', 'intolerant') "

even when I changed the '****' in 'false' it didn't appear.

I'm so relieved.

Although it's heartbreaking for all of the fans who were attending, surely they must even realize that safety comes first.

And I just can't with comments such as "ugh, these protestors wouldn't have done anything" :smh: Do some background research on the FPI, and find out how they operate before you make such ignorant statements. She wasn't dealing with the Westboro Baptist Church, she was dealing with actual hardcore mother****ers who legitimately wanted to cause her harm.

100% agreed. This was the only sensible measure for her to take going forward.

Gaga cancellation reflects weak govt: Setara

The decision by Lady Gaga's management to cancel her planned June 3 concert reflects a government that is weak in the face of intolerant political groups, according to human rights watchdog group the Setara Institute.

"The authority of the state should have led to freedom of expression and guaranteed security. These are rights guaranteed in our constitution and in our laws," Setara Institute chairman Hendardi said on Sunday.

"The tug of war from this [concert] permit acquisition demonstrates that this isn't just a technical matter about the law, but rather has become a political issue that will highly benefit the groups that are controlling it," he added.

Ikr... she just lost 5 million dollars... I pray she doesn't cancel any more shows, because that would greaty dimish BTWBT's chances to be among the 10 biggest tours ever once it ends...

The loss of bragging rights would be unbearable

I bet Gaga feels terrible about having to cancel this show. And we know she didn't do it for herself, but for her crew and her fans' safety.

You know these reporters talking smack will be trying to be the first b---hes in line at her future shows. :nails:

BIGDADDY hints future visit of LADY GAGA to Indonesia in the future. Probably after EU leg finishes.

Article here:

http://m.thejakartap...gaga-visit.html

I don't understand how that would happen? Surely there would just a repeat of what's happened. The FPI really don't want her in Indonesia and I don't doubt they'll make the same threats as what they've been making these past weeks.

They could always add a couple for dates for dat5milli :hor:

I just hate when the bad guys win  Couldn't they have the 4,000 security members surrounding the stadium or something? Or a magic gaga force field :flutter:

Unless she tries to hold in in Bali?

Still can't see benefits outweighing risks.

It's Big Daddy not Gaga - they always try to keep hope alive for their business ... because if foreign stars stop coming they lose big money long-term. Also HATE how they worded the cancellation press release to make it sound like Gaga chickened out, when they didn't even have permits for uncensored show.

The police was actually the problem, they talked about sending 4,000 officers but it was obvious they didn't care enough to ensure her safety. And that's just a sign of how corrupt/broken these forces are, and it reflects REALLY badly on the government. They're the only ones (besides the FPI obviously) to blame this cancellation on. They were more concerned with censoring her show than with taking measures re: the people who were threatening her life!

Agreed, it was expected they'd phrase it as if it was solely her choice but it gets on my nerves to see these cowards act like they handled everything just fine. They had indeed not even granted her a permit! I feel their lack of action and their apathy during the whole proces was egregious and they're damn lucky Gaga had the guts to say "enough is enough".

I think Big Daddy also has allegations against him of trying to bribe FPI members into silence so it's kind of clear he'd go to huge lengths to keep hope alive... He's practically the only one who's been tweeting the whole time that the concert would go on while the "yes-no-maybe-yes-no-yes-no-maybe" game was playing out with the police forces and the government.

I guess, but even so, I thought the permit needed to perform the show came from the national police, not the regional ones so there would probably still be a problem to get a permit without censoring the show.

It annoys me too, I wanna hear Gaga's word on it tbh.

Does she have a show starting right now?

If she does I'm sure she will comment on it there and maybe tweet after the show
