Robinladen 1,527
I feel so double about this. I know cancelling this **** was the only right decision. Her safety >>>> making a statement. But on the other hand it's just so sad to see a woman get banned out of a country because she dresses the way she wants to.

RAMROD 109,607
It is sad day for Indonesian Monsters. They waited for years. But that dream never come true. My thought are with them. Also haappy Gaga is safe. I guess she i feel awful too inside. (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ✧*:・゚ dancin' until i'm dead (*´艸`*) ♡♡♡
Elizabeth 450
Fairly good local commentary: http://www.thejakart...-over-gaga.html That was quite insightful, thanks for posting, although I'm lost for words at the fact that some of those protestors said it was Gaga's fault that the aeroplane crash happened near Jakarta recently. Jase 13,315
I'm so relieved. Although it's heartbreaking for all of the fans who were attending, surely they must even realize that safety comes first. And I just can't with comments such as "ugh, these protestors wouldn't have done anything" Do some background research on the FPI, and find out how they operate before you make such ignorant statements. She wasn't dealing with the Westboro Baptist Church, she was dealing with actual hardcore mother****ers who legitimately wanted to cause her harm. ----------------------- FPI Jakarta chairman Habib Salim Alatas said the cancellation was "good news" for Muslims in Indonesia. "FPI is grateful that she has decided not to come. Indonesians will be protected from sin brought about by this Mother Monster, the destroyer of morals," he told AFP. "Lady Gaga fans, stop complaining. Repent and stop worshipping the devil. Do you want your lives taken away by God as infidels?"

craig 680
CNN article - some really annoying comments. http://www.cnn.com/2012/05/27/showbiz/indonesia-gaga-concert/index.html Madonna stan jealous Gaga is getting publicity, who hasn't done his research. I saw her Monster Ball concert on HBO and yes her costumes and dance movies are extremely risque. I love her music, but her show is very over the top and she practically wears nothing at times and there are moves that are very s-xual in nature and it is done on purpose to push the envelope just like who she tries to be i.e. Madonna, who is one of my favorite artists of all time. I thought the idea of her putting the Monster Ball in Indonesia was and is a publicity stunt to keep her in the press. Her people knew they would have to cancel. Now they can say look she is banned in Indonesia! See our show and discover why! And of course her Monsters will want to defend their Queen anyways they can buying more tickets etc. In other words a beautiful marketing move...
