Lets not think about AOTY, Joanne won't even get a nom.

Her best chance to win something is Million Reasons for Best Pop Solo performance, but that's only if it becomes a big hit. Joanne might get a Pop Vocal nom, but Ed Sheeran will definitely beat her. Other than that, she stands no chance.

I also think Million Reasons stands a chance at a Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance nomination, considering the importance Gaga placed in this single, its wonderful composition and vocals and the platforms it was performed at.

I also think Gaga should start promoting Hey Girl for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

I like how optimistic you guys are :spin:

Joanne will not even get nominated, it had above average sales \ no real hit single \ mixed to positive critical review.

When Beck won AOTY with his tragic sales, his album had 81 on metacritic without Beyonce effect.

Sinner's Prayer may be eligible for one of the Country categories but it is not a powerful song :emma:

Maybe they might make a point of giving it to the Weeknd over Gaga to debunk the racism controversy :emma:

white people think that's so funny even though we've been talking about this crap for years and it's STILL going to the white artists. Like, Macklemore over Kendrick Lamar? Iggy Aalea best rap album? I'm sorry but some of these criticisms are valid

We'd love to hear about these 10 albums, then. Aka what this thread is for.

screaming at anyone thinking joanne will get a nomination

Screaming at premature conclusions.

#MillionReasonsCanNeverReachTop10

As much as this is a flaw, the Grammys are about popularity and sales (THE CHAINSMOKERS won a GRAMMY before Katy Perry) and general impression. No one actually listens to every line of a song and make analysis as to the delicacy of the vocals before determining what song should win an award. Lemonade didn't produce massive singles but it was nominated for tons of Grammys, because the general impression of that album is that it is Grammyworthy. Leaving Million Reasons's chart performance aside, it was promoted in such a way that it was heavily vocal based and the song (and the album) are garnering more and more attention as each day goes by with promotion slowly happening. What Gaga is doing, is not merely generating sales, but also the impression that her album is award worthy.

Songs like Hey Girl, Million Reasons, A-YO, Sinner's Prayer and Come to Mama are clearly made with a deliberate attempt to distinct them from 'generic radio music' and Gaga focused on the vocals on this album more than she ever did for her pop records. The reason The Fame (Monster) and Born This Way were nominated were because of, duh popularity and sales.

I think Joanne could absolutely get a nom for AOTY!

Also to consider:

Lorde's upcoming album

Miranda Lambert's Weight Of These Wings  (was AMAZING and so Award-y)

Hey Girl deserves a video with Florence on it

Hey Girl deserves a Grammy

Just Another Day deserves a Grammy

Joanne deserves many Grammys
