i think it A-yo should be released now and DIC during summer

A Yo is too rock/country for the radio. If radio is barely touching MR, there is not a shot for AYO. That will worsen her relationship with radio, the only single left is DIC which won't become a hit because its chorus is way too creepy and the verses are way too sexual, similar to GUY. I hate to say it but Joanne has no hit singles, she truly made a mistake by including no hits on it and she payed the price with her relationship with radio and streaming. She keeps on making too many mistakes

Also mindtrappa () just said that her team had no plans of pushing Million Reasons this long and it was a last minute choice on Gaga's part to include it in the halftime show, which ended up giving it new life and a new push. There were songs in the set list that were cut by her, so that Million Reasons could be performed

She didn't make any mistake, she made music that she loves, its her work, wether it charts high or not, is not a mistake.

I think a DIC pop remix can "get off" on radio.  Everyday is taking off. Side to Side took off. I would love to see a Remy Ma remix TBH. So tired of Nicki

Nah this isn't true, DIC has huge potential and supposedly Interscope wants to make it a single and radios have voiced their support of it. It's not explicit, it just has explicit references. Funk is fine, Uptown Funk said "FUNK YOU UP" and no one cared. The only questionable things are "touch myself" and "rub the pain out" but I still don't think it would be a huge issue. The song has that tropical, thumpy fun beat and is catchy.

If you look at it that way then it is not a mistake. If you look at it through the charts or a financial view, Joanne was a huge mistake. She completely alienated radio and streaming, she had one shot to make this relationship better, everyone was so hyped, and she chose PI which destroyed her on radio and streaming. She should have included 2-3 RedOne songs. She may never recover from the damage she did during PI/Joanne, radio is completely hesitant to play anything Lady Gaga and she has 0 streaming power.

Uhm, is it just the songs? Was Gaga not performing her ass off? If Katy performed Gaga's setlist, would it be praised the same way? You give too much credit to RedOne :awkney:

You know what, why don't yah buy his song

He's just making a marketing-wise statement on Joanne. That has anything to do with the sound or Gaga's creative process.

If they clean that up with radio friendly lyrics and do something about the chorus it can be a hit. I am still praying for a Rihanna & Beyonce feature (Telephone 2.0)

She didn't alienate radio. They were looking forward to a big mainstream comeback from her and didn't get it, that doesn't mean they're completely turning their backs on her. She's Lady Gaga and there's so much power and influence behind her name. She could easily drop a dance pop release and they'd plaster it all over radio. Joanne wasn't what radio wanted so they're not supporting it, but that doesn't mean they won't support her. They're just not supporting this album because it's too far left of today's musical climate.

Look at Katy, Rise was a huge flop on radio and streaming, yet CTTR is getting support on both with no issue. Gaga could easily crank out some hits and she'd have full support again. She chose to make an album for herself and healing, not for radios and streaming. That doesn't mean she's done for and alienated radios forever. Joanne is still doing amazingly for not being mainstream and really having no huge hit single to push it.
