bblough 312
I felt sorry for Laverne. She said something like: '8 time Grammy winner (and she accidentally left out the word Metallica) and 6 time Grammy winner Lady Gaga....' and then the guy is singing and nothing's coming out. I was going omg, but they were very professional and didn't miss a beat. I thought it was great when he got on her mic. It was kind of messy, and she tripped. Her voice was really good. I was glad she made the high notes. She looked SO HOT.
boneknuckleskin 776
I just watched the performance, mess @ them only introducing Lady Gaga when clearly discussing Metallica's garage band days and Hetfield's mic was out for most the performance but He and Gaga realized this and improvised well. Slay a bit. I just saw Adele's do-over and that The Chainsmokers won best dance recording - man the grammy's were such a trainwreck this year. NewUsername 11,410
If you think away the technical problems, I liked this performance though! She looked good, was energetic and sounded good!
Fanta 5,019
After seeing Beyoncé's performance and then MetallicaXGaga...that was an embarrassing time to be a fan, and I'm one of the people who think Bey is overrated but her visuals were stunning. The worst performance of her career, she should've kept it classy when asked and said 'this is your moment' or something. Even if they got everything right the performance was still a mess. I couldn't even finish it.

Not really surprised people here didnt like it, some people cant process anything that isnt fun cute candy bubble pop That is such a bullsh*t statement lol. Half (if not more) of the users here Stan for other artists and genres, but this was just a sh*tshow. Heavy metal is not a lot of people's cup of tea. I think the lyrics to this song are beautiful but it's just a bunch of noise to me and always will be.

Nemo 4,293
Guys, I wish you'd stop saying it was "ruined" and such. It's unfortunate what happened, but it was far from ruined. Not everything has to be perfect to make a great performance. I'm seeing a lot more positive feedback about this than negative.

Yes I am, as serious as people saying this is one of her best performances and that it was incredible The awkward dancing in the beginning, almost tripping, the screaming, it was and will be a no from me. It's a matter of opinions and I just think it was terrible

At least I was. But, we tend to overstress about these things.

It's a matter of opinions and I just think it was terrible I get you, but you know, I've met some people who thought the SuperBowl Halftime show was super cringeworthy because of the way Gaga acted. What they don't realize, though, is that every genre has its own style of performance; its own queues and quirks. Gaga did a perfect pop performance at the superbowl, and she did a perfect metal performance at the Grammys, but references are needed to understand that. What makes Gaga great is that she understands the craft of performance so she can deliver incredibly believable interpretations of every genre. What I'm trying to say is, taken for what it is (a metal performance at an award show) it was an incredible performance. Oh, I'm just visiting-
Katie14 4,828
Im so impressed Gaga was able to come in at the right time during the 1st verse when the guy's mic was off. Its hard to keep time when there is just silence instead of the other person singing their lines.
babs 5,093
I'm a metalhead and so are most of my friends. There was a lot of love going on in my social media towards gaga, saying she looked sexy, sounded good and was overall "metal", so before any of you little complainers go around saying this performance does nothing for gaga, think about all the new following she might be getting, even if the performance was a mess because of the grammy's sound.
