sillynate 6,170
Before I listened to the acapella of good sis Angel Down, I thought those noises at the beginning were an electric guitar. But not only that, there's some weird noise that goes 'huhduh huhduh huhduh huhduh' before she starts singing the chorus. What are these noises?? Did her and Mark decide to pitch their voices and record themselves making these weird but good sounds for it? Or is it some electronic noise that Bloodpop put in?? Edonis 28,950
It's a synth as well as an electronic riff overlapping to well, honestly, make the song sound more interesting. I love the album version, it's haunting as hell and really resonates with me more than the Work tape version
homomo 23,883
I think it's pitched guitars and bells 0110100001100101011011000110110001101111
DaftFameMonster 2,527
I believe it's just a synth chord. It gives it this slightly dark, electronic sound that really sets the tone for the song. I feel Angel Down is slightly underrated, and would serve as a great final single. Te instrumentals that leaked in October doesn't have those sounds, and if you listen to the other songs like DIC, SP, DH or GG you'll notice that the vocal stems are removed as well. BTW if no one noticed there are two "Hey's!" in the last DH chorus.

DeanWinchester 41,390
It sounds like those noise you hear from old documentary shows, which makes me picture the shooting incident in a very depressing tone Flyin' like a 1000 Doves

I doubt they're an actual person's voice as opposed to just sounds pitched in a certain way. Parts of a synth (similar to the ones in Hey Girl) are altered at points as well to make this deep, sounding phenomenon. Kind of like the distorted sound in PI (the "demon vocals")
artRaver 3,188
I don't know, but I love the bird chirping parts in it. Reminds me of Lovin' You by Minnie Riperton. ✿ cherry blossom girl ✿

I'm curious to know because if you take away the sad lyrics and the sad instrumental, you get these funny sounds there's also one in John Wayne that sounds like a spring bouncing or whatever and when that part comes on, I shake my butt

Quasi 10,934
Doesn't the song give anyone Silent Hill vibes? Like the moment I heard this song, the burning sounds and the disturbing instrumental instantly made me feel as if Angel Down could fit right into the SH universe. The sound of the whole track is creepy, disturbing, and yet hauntingly beautiful much like every song featured in the Silent Hill series. I don't understand pineapples, so I don't eat bananas.
