Has Gaga changed a lot recently?

You don't have to agree with my opinion and I respect yours too, or you can judge me, but I wanted to give my opinion about this. I just think Gaga has changed a lot recently and I don't like it. I have been a little monster for 9 years and of course it's normal that she changed during that period. We can change a lot during few months or a year, and it's natural that she's not the same person now, when she's almost 31, like when she was starting her career at the age of 22. 

But something about that change makes me so sad sometimes. She was a cool girl from New York City who just wanted to play her music and hated Hollywood, and now she has a birthday party which her friends and family haven't attended, but a bunch of Hollywood starts were there. I was so surprised to see that because I didn't know she met some of that people ever in her life, or she saw them only once or twice, and now she's making a party with them like they're her close friends. 

Then Epione. Firstly I didn't understand why are people making such a big story of that, but when I saw her face one time after visiting Epione, I was so shocked because I immediately thought of Donatella Versace. I understand that Gaga probably won't go so far, or at least I hope, but it's sad to see her putting botox and God knows what else in her face, after whole "Born This Way" and "Body Revolution" era. I felt totally tricked. 

And now she's reportedly dating Christian Carino. I admit I really like Taylor and it was hard for me to accept anyone else, but I was ready to do that if she will be with some normal guy. But 50-year-old guy with a teenage daughter, who had a lot of relationships with Hollywood stars that didn't last long? And he works for her? He can be her father and most of the people though it was her dad when they say pics. So embarrassing.  It's a formula for disaster, like somebody said. And she was very depressed in the past and we all know that she was fighting drugs and alcohol, and I don't want her to be hurt again and doing all of this again.

To conclude, I wanted to say it's just my opinion and I wanted to share with you. You don't have to agree with me. And I also know it's her life, so she can do anything she wants. I agree with that too, but seeing her in the last few months made me feel very sad and I wanted to write it, so maybe I will feel better. I just can't recognize my Gaga anymore, the girl that I madly fell in love 9 years ago. It's more than a half of my life and she has been with me since then, every day. So I feel very sad because I don't see my Gaga, always different from everyone, anymore, but some typical Hollywood star. Have a good day.

I completely understand we all want her to be well, but it's best to leave all the details of her personal life to her. Who she hangs around with is her business. 

You're right though, she definitely has changed and evolved in different ways as you'd expect. But remember sometimes we get so focused on the differences, we completely forget about what hasn't changed.

 

She'll always be that New York show girl who is rooted by her family, and over the past week or so I don't think we've ever been reminded of that more.

I respect your opinion but disagree on every point you made. I actually think she seems more like herself lately than she did, say, in the ARTPOP era.  First of all...

a) I don't think we should judge her new man yet - we don't know much about him at all.

b) For people who are so mad at her about Epione, why don't you try being one of the most frequently photographed people on the planet? It would change you. Sometimes people don't even take into account the immense pressure celebrities are under at all times. I can't even imagine it. Who cares if she gets a few fillers, I personally don't think that should negate the entire message of Born This Way like some people think it does... it's just body alteration, like tattoos or anything else she does for her image.

c) I think it is POSITIVE thing that she has friends in Hollywood now... why would we want her to be an outcast among celebrities? That would just bring her down further into isolation and depression. She can't be the same New York girl she was in 08... she's been a celebrity for almost a decade. I'm glad she's more comfortable with it now. 

The Super Bowl performance + the new John Wayne video are the Gaga I know and love. Therefore, though I respect your opinion, I wholeheartedly disagree with it.

She may have changed a bit but her core values are still same. There was a video on Twitter (hopefully it's still up) of some unseen footage from the Super Bowl. During the press conference in the video she had said "my fans are the reason for all of this" which eerily mimics a quote she had said years ago "people always say 'oh you a,ways talk about your fans' but how can I not? They're my reason for everything. They're the blood in my veins". At the end of the day, she's still the same person who loves her monsters with every fiber of her being (Super Bowl was proof of that). She's just in a little bit different "packaging" now

Looking at your short history here, you have been obsessed with her break up with Taylor. That's just about all you have posted about. In fact, you signed up the week of their announcement, so I take it this break up is the main focus of you being here. 

**** happens, people break up, life goes on. Gaga is dating around now...who cares how old he is? Maybe he is making her happy for now and that's all that matters!

Exactly. Her core values are still the same. She still loves her monsters with every fiber of her being. "What you and I have little monsters isn't just for a moment. It's for life".

Yeah I agree and I admitted that in my post. But I also wrote, it happened 7 months ago and I am totally ready to accept someone new, but man who is almost 20 years older than her and works for her? I just don't think it will end up in a good way and I'm not the only one who thinks that. I just don't want her to be hurt again because I was here during her hardest times, a fight with depression and drugs. I don't want to see that Gaga again. 

If he doesn't hurt her, I won't have anything but respect for him.

I know and I wrote that. But it's a Gaga Daily forum, a place for monsters to share their opinion. 

And I don't judge her, neither I'm mad at her. I have just cancelled my school graduation trip, a once-in-a-lifetime trip, so I can go to her show in Milan in September. She means a lot to me and I won't stop loving her. She's been my idol for life. 

It's just my opinion and I can share it. And I know a lot of monsters who think the same, but didn't want to write anything...

Well, he represents a multitude of artists and celebrities. They must have hit it off. Once again, why does it matter how old he is? They are both adults. 

As long as you open yourself up for love, you are going to get hurt eventually. If Gaga gets hurt, then she will go on, like she did when her five year relationship broke up. Gaga might get depressed again in her life, since she has recurring depression, but she has learned new ways to cope and she is educated on the disease. 

He might hurt her, she might hurt him, they might hurt each other. That's how relationships go.

Good points and I feel like you have good intentions with the stuff you are saying but also live and let live. This whole "knowing" every detail of an artists life is abnormal. It was not like this in the past. People used to only know what the artist wanted the world to know..usually through their art. But now thanks to social media, cameras etc...we are all just too invested in other peoples lives. At the end of the day..what does it matter to us? It's her life. We just need to be here for her art.
