It put me to bed... The lyrics are just quite lack luster with that sort of beat, in combination with Katy's singing style it does nothing for me

The preview actually sounded pretty nice but damn that production is so plain, she could have worked with someone like tronicbox who rocks the nu-disco sound.

It's cute but anticlamatic, even for katy

Walk down the runway but don't puke, it's okay. You just had 10 donuts today. Without frosting.

The song has so much potential with that chorus but the verse sounds so lazy and adding Skip Marley feels desperate to join in the trend. The verse's melody is so disappointing like it's not extremely horrific but I mean it obviously could've been stronger. Otherwise the pre-chorus and chorus is a bop!! But yeah the verse just makes the song wear out fast.

Hmm...this just shows you can't get all your hopes up based on a snippet. I'm a bit underwhelmed. I don't have anything bad to say about it but I'm neutral more than anything. I guess I thought it was building up to a big chorus but it kept on going at pretty much the same tempo. I like that she's making a song about something more serious and mature and actually making it a single (her most immature songs are usually made into singles), so props to her for the risk. But will it be a hit? Can't say for sure. Out of all her lead singles, I'm sure this will be the one that struggles to get to the top and if it does, it won't stay there for long. Judging by the video, she might be aiming for more indie stuff this time, more like her debut, which might be a bit hit and miss. The song doesn't scream "I'm back," whereas Roar did, which is likely partly what got it to #1. But this is a bit subdued and I don't know how it's going to play out.

Aside from all that, the hamster is really cute. I felt so sorry for it towards the end, especially when it slowly got off its chair!

Not understanding why so many people aren't liking this song.  I'm not a fan of Katy's music and find her to be quite boring and overrated, but this song is pretty cute!!

I kinda wanted the song to grow on me but it won't happen. The beat is very generic and too comercial for my taste, the lyrics are quite flat. Overall the song is just catchy rhytm, Katy could have done much better than this, but, after all, her music is (no offense) generic and too "bubblegum pop" and sadly it is generic and meaningless pop that sells for her. + the lyrc video is just tiny things and a hamster because it is cute and trendy and that's what get's views, quite dissapointed because of the obvious promoting/selling tactics her team is using. No shade, just tea.

P.S.  Loving the little magazine with Gaga on the cover.
