Now that we have reached probably the biggest highlight of the Joanne era and you've had time for everything to settle in (the album, performances, music videos, interviews, other appearances, etc.) where does this era rank amongst the other albums for you?

I must say, Joanne is shaping p to he my favorite era and album. One, seeing Gaga happy and enjoying herself makes it all the better, but two, my life has also taken a turn for the better since the release of the album and I'm feeling much better mentally since 2017 has started, so by association I relate this album to feeling good and healthy. Its just a good time for me (:

What's your stance?

I'll only be able to do that once the era ends. We don't even know how the tour stage will look like. But based on what we've seen so far, I wouldn't rank it lower than ARTPOP for sure.

Still behind Born This Way, The Fame Monster and The Fame. I can't judge a whole era for one week, the rest of the era has been very underwhelming.

The Joanne Era is the first one I witness as a stan and I have to say that I am so lucky I wasn't late to the party 'cause it is amazing. I started really stanning her since late 2014, I really enjoyed 2015 and loved 2016! 2017 couldn't have started better tho. The SuperBowl performance was a MASTERPIECE! I'm in love with Joanne and it is inspiring me and helping me growing! Thank you Gaga and thank you monster, I love you!

I think it's difficult to tell. It's such a different album... we've never seen Gaga like this before. Aside from recognising the impact of TF/TFM and BTW, it's really difficult to actually 'rank' Gaga's albums. It's kind of like putting in order your favourite siblings or something.

It almost feels wrong to me to judge Joanne by the same standard of The Fame Monster. I mean, they're just too separate. I understand judging The Fame VS. The Fame Monster or Born This Way VS. ARTPOP... but you can't compare a country, almost alt. rock/pop album with EDM. The era on era transformation is insane.

This is why I love Gaga, though. She says that it is her continuous evolution that makes her 'feel alive', and it makes me feel that way too. She is forever changing but always retaining that same spark, which I believe is present in all of her albums. They are all 'Gaga' but represent a different piece of her.

As a side note, I would consider the half time show totally separate to the Joanne era. This was a career triumph that transcended beyond any 'era'. It was a highlight of her entire career. I see it as Gaga being stripped from her current context (Joanne) to celebrate her entire career as a collective. I see the half time show as a piece of Gaga history - not a piece of the Joanne era. This obviously would've been the same for me had it come any earlier, too.

So yeah, I don't think we should judge Joanne by the half time show. It's not something specific to Joanne at all.

Spoiler

Still can't get over that show. It was possibly the best performance of her career. It felt so triumphant and celebratory. It also kind of felt to me like the day she became a legend. To us, she was already. But to the GP, I think she is now consolidated as a pop icon.
