Disappointed & Sad About Those VIP-Packages

Not The Real Gaga

So, as you all know, Gaga announced her upcoming Joanne Tour yesterday. And first, I was really happy, even more after seeing that she will doing another Meet&Greet-opportunity. I've been saving for those expensive VIP-tickets for over a year.

BUT, I am really disappointed and sad about the things you get if you buy the Ultimate Backstage VIP-Package. I mean, €1300,- for;

- An awkward soundcheck with her band (like some other member also said here on the forum);

- A forced group photo with five other random strangers, BEFORE the show; which means not that much time, because Gaga needs to prepare herself for the show of course;

- Not even a real Meet&Greet, like during the ArtRave

I mean, the price is almost as high as the ARTPOP ZONE Meet&Greet tickets with an individual photo and moment with Gaga and a group chat with her after the show. This feels as a quick money-making moment: "POSE FOR THE PICTURE AND GET TO YOUR SEATS AS FAST AS POSSIBLE"

I am really sorry, but this isn't fair. Wish that I bought those tickets back in the day, but I couldn't effort them during that time.

Come on Gaga, this is a typically "BLING, NOT THE MUSIC"; easy money-grabbing. This can't be your idea, Gaga. Otherwise, I would be very disappointed in you.

Still a big fan, though. But I wanna meet her so badly, and now I am feeling forced to buy those F*CKING expensive tickets, which are definetely not worth it. But I can't wait another three years hopin' to meet Gaga one day... And what if she doesn't Meet&Greets anymore in the future...

Cryin' right now.

Speaking from personal experience, I wouldn't worry so much about meeting her.

It won't change the way you feel about her music and art. She's just a person.

You are allowed to not buy the VIP ticket.You'll have other chances to meet her.

I don't know how I can meet her otherwise, to be honest. As a Dutch guy, I don't see her that much :sweat:

Tell me about it, if you want :)

I completely agree with you.

Those tickets are waaaay too expensive expecially considering the only great thing they offer is a group photo with Gaga. If they were like the ArtRave ones, with special seats and a real meet and greet, I would be considering buying them, but to these conditions, well she can keep them tbh

I'm pretty sure that the whole concept of "meet and greets" aren't her idea. The whole concept of paying to meet her so isn't what gaga stands for. The idea of only the wealthy being able to afford tickets to meet her so isn't "gaga" if that makes sense. I do think that her team needs to revamp the process because right now unless you can afford over $1000 you're **** out of luck. I'd like for them to have a "lottery" of sorts where everyone is given a "code" of some sort and then the code is submitted and then gaga just randomly picks X number of codes. That way the wealthy aren't at an advantage. Everyone has an equal chance regardless of income because it's just random selection. The code would also have a way to eliminate people who have already met her so that the people who haven't would get a chance too. I think this is the fairest way to do it because it's just luck of the draw on if you get chosen.

I love you monsters. I'd be unfixably broken without you

idk to me the whole idea of meet and greets seems very fake and just to increase the show revenue. as much as Gaga was kind enough to try and make it an enjoyable experience in the past it doesn't really change the fact that it's just not real. i think the most enjoyable part of the concert is hopefully being close to stage and just having a good time alone or with friends, embracing what you love about the artist without worrying that the celebrity you meet might be short on time or too exhausted to truly make a connection with you.

she does make these speeches in her concert that i think are intimate enough.

I highly doubt that the meet and greet tickets are her idea. That whole concept of paying to spend time with her so isn't what gaga stands for.

But that means she is still forced to do things she actually doesn't want to do. I thought that time was over?

Honestly it would be cheaper for you to just stalk her a bit online and find out which hotel she is in, fly there, wait at the door with other fans and get a photo and stuff for free all while having a trip in whatever city she is at! You will probably also have a chance at a nice quick interaction / chat with her lol

It's like a standard nowadays and especially if you don't sell out an arena this somewhat makes up for it. I guess she doesn't mind it that much, like she would pick people during the concert for a free backstage entrance too. But you could clearly tell at times in the past that she just wanted to get some rest.

I don't think a fan can really get much from it, sure you get to meet her up close but you won't really be able to have a real conversation and idk if a photo is worth the extra 1k. Imo she's more likely to pay more attention to what you tweet to her than when she has a bunch of people in line waiting to say something similar.

She'll be performing every other day so perhaps you should cut her some slack and be a bit more understanding. Why does it matter photographing with five other people ... who are fans after all?

The thing that matters is the concert itself, the music, her artistry.
