Which not only includes Houston but surrounding suburbs (some wealthy), rurual areas to the northwest, and regions closer to the coast. Around 60-65% in Harris County are either Hispanic, African American, or Asian. Like 35% are White and the rest are more racial minorities. Considering suburbs here tend to be highly conservative, Houston is more liberal than it seems if you take in these factors. I'm sure if Houston city limit only statistics were available the HRC % would be higher. Unfortunately vote distribution is reported by county. Also it's important to note Fort Bend, which is the neighboring county and full of wealthy suburbs also went blue this election, which was a bit surprising. It's sports Well, I haven't been able to find precinct level information for the 2016 election BUT I found this voting precinct level results map for 2012 for Harris County: http://gregsopinion.com/maps/2012G_President.html As as you can see the Houston areas of Harris County are mostly Democrat. Notice the areas I mentioned before being the more Republican ones. It's actually really interesting looking at this map. There's a lot of wealthy people in West Houston and Republican.
