RuPauls Drag Race Season 9 - Discussion Thread

Never liked Valentina, she gave me a strange vibe. She's beautiful, and talented, but her personality seems selfish. And she hurt her own reputation at the reunion. Like, comparing yourself to Selena, really? She should have been smart and tried to remain friends with people up until the reunion, and then cut them out afterwards.

 

All of the top 4 killed it the final episodes, but Peppermint is the weakest imho. She was struggling up until the roast, which was a long time. I also feel the competition was too easy for Shea, she just flew through it. She really didn't seem to struggle much. That's why I'd prefer to see her in an All-Stars season so we can see what she can do under real pressure.

 

I believe Trinity deserved the crown. She put in the most effort, grew the most, and really shocked everyone by what she can do. She was the only one to really show a thirst to win. But, I think Sasha is going to win. She represents an evolution in drag. Every winner has always been ahead of there time and "revolutionized" drag in a way. I'd be fine with her winning, it'd be cool to see Trinity at it again in All-Stars.

I am glad she is exposed this early tbh. While she'll still have her army, but it'll give them perspective, I hope.

How exactly did she get exposed, for what? What was it she was doing? She came, said from the beginning "i am here to shoe the world the star i am", yes, she is self-absorbed, like all of them are. They are all needy, self-absorbed attention-whores.

So why attack Valentina? Cause you are jealous, bitter, can't deal that she got the most following from Season 9, like Trinity already said? 

There where many queens who really wanted to sabotage other queens in past seasons, but Valentina did none of that, she was just minding her own business, smiled all the time, and that's it.

 

And i am not even a fan of Valentina...

I agree on all counts. Also Sasha is the most popular on social media (of the top 4). Makes sense to give it to her to please the majority.

I'm sorry but I'll be a little mad if Sasha wins. I usually root for the weird, avant-garde queen; loved Alaska, Sharon, and pearl but I don't think Sasha has "it".

Neither will she revolutionize drag and since when have most past winners been revolutionary anyway. I mean what was revolutionary about Tyra, Bianca, or bob?

We already know pepper ain't getting the crown but shea and Trinity are overall better performers than Sasha and had more exciting paths this season.

I'm team Trinity but I see shea as the only competitor worthy of the crown, since she's more set to win.

 Shea and Sasha seemed so petty and condescending. TBH it was difficult to watch them on the reunion because I really liked them through the entire show. I really hope Pepper or Trinity win at this point. Which sucks because before I was completely rooting for Shea to win. Even on the reunion people were still jealous of Valentina too. Valentina wasn't mean to anyone she just focused on the competition and stuck to herself. "This isn't RuPaul's Best Friend Race." It was so weird to watch the girls who were eliminated were less antagonistic than the top 4. Even when Alexis said she saw Valentina write down the words of the song Shea literally barked at her with a reply. Usually it's the girls who are eliminated that are more hostile towards the top 3.

After watching the first twenty minutes, I really like Aja and Sasha. I have a feeling that Aja will be the winner, tbh.

Imho Shea is the snake of the season, she's so mean. However, she has most wins and she is not that relevant in the social media as other top competitors so people don't bother to point that out.

At the reunion, she acted bitter and basically attacked everything that moves. Give her 450k aggressive stans and media recognition so then she would be entitled to speak. Oh well, she will never have those things.
