I would personally posit that being intolerant of intolerance is a generally acceptable position if you believe it is in the name of bettering society for all people. Obviously, people disagree on how we should better society, and there is not an "objective" point of view on this, but furthermore, I do not think that the morals and beliefs of people on the other side of the fence are actually radically or even that significantly different from one another at their core. Both probably believe discrimination is generally wrong, so is racism, sexism, homophobia, and general bigotry. Both probably do strongly believe in freedom of speech and things of that nature too. They both probably at least want to identify as egalitarian or humanists and want to promote equality between people regardless of class, race, gender, sex, etc. I truly believe that if we got back to this, there would such a weaker division of people at least in terms of social views.

I would further argue that it is people like Milo and people who stand to gain power and influence from convincing people that we have different worldviews that cause these divisions amongst people in the first place. It is like MRAs and Redpillers on Reddit. Most men aren't born just raging misogynists, and most men do understand on some level be it subconscious or not that sexism is a real thing and gender roles are honestly just a bunch of bullshit that hurts everyone involved... They generally see how women are treated and definitely how men are treated and undoubtedly, the majority of men are not happy about the status of men in the country (I mean if they are, rose-colored glasses, privilege, etc.) That's super specific, but apply the mindset to any really.. I guess conservative? Libertarian? Reactionary? Cause or whatever. Whiteness. Maleness. Cisgender status. Able body status. Wealth/Class.

But lots of people do not know where to go with this kind information, especially in a culture that forbids openly speaking about these things in a healthy, productive way. It then becomes easy for others (like Milo) to take people who feel very strongly about something and get them to use their voices to amplify their own, like a cult leader. At the end of the day though, these safe-spaces they have created (Yes, that's what they are) aren't actually safe-spaces, sometimes these people are held back from further critiquing and understanding the conventions of society and analyzing the systems that comprise it  I'm not an expert of anything (Yet  ) but this is what I see happening personally when people like Milo come to speak to people on campuses. It is people figuring out who they are and what they believe going to hear someone basically explain their problems away and what I (and the protestors) believe is actually harmful rather than beneficial.
