Its just interesting to me because she specifically said that she started saying "no" to doing things like this because selling products made her unhappy. Unless she is using Tiffanys to covey a message when she otherwise wouldn't get the air time. Then its like a win win. I'm trying to understand her. I think you starting a brand of perfumes is a completely different thing that being hired by a company to promote their things If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating. BornAsUnic0rn 2,098
Watch Gaga turning this into the first annual GagaBowl and do the Halftime Show, the Tiffany's commercial, a commercial for Pepsi, and 3 more, and ofc sing the National Anthem as a duet. EDIT: On topic - This is great news. And if Million Reasons is in the ad, she has one more song to sing live while MR still gets some promo and great use, since women is the audience she's speaking to in the song and Tiffany's have the fitting demographics. That would be ideal but Gaga implied she had almost no saying in the development of her fragrances, specially Eau de Gaga, and she didn't want to be involved in anything, felt like her name was being used for something completely unrelated to what she is, an artist, not a perfume maker. I think you have to look at how the perfumes were branded itself. Fame was all about opulence & darkness, Eau de Gaga pretty much had no branding whatsoever and was super vague. In the Shiseido ad she did, she literally had an overlay where she said "Everyone shines in the own unique way, but only YOU know what your beauty is. Don't let anyone tell you what makes you beautiful." In hindsight, Gaga's perfumes were really just marketed as money grabs and luxury while the current collabs she has with brands are funnily more about self-love (Shiseido) or artistic fulfillment (Tiffany's). Also, she's not actually selling any ACTUAL product if you noticed, she's just saying semi-inspiring things while being vaguely attached to the brand. Yea I guess she didn't have much input on the 2nd perfume. But how is jewelry more related to who she is than perfume? I'm sure she wears both. I doubt she has a special interest or connection with tiffanys and sought that specific company out on her own. I don't think any less of her nor do I care which brands she endorses. It just doesn't make sense to me that she would willingly choose to be the face of a brand after she said using her name to sell products makes her feel unhappy. I see where you are coming from, but I'd gladly like to show you a different side of view: Gaga loved to do FAME. Why? Because it is her project, I'd even go as far as calling it one of her heart-projects. But to put out FAME she needed to find a company who would publish and sell it. And by that she needs to sign contracts. FAME gets released, Gaga and the Haus are having an huge impact in the process and Gaga is actually investing a huge oart of money, because she does it with love and believes in it. All is fine, everyone is happy, FAME smashes, and that's when it becomes tricky, in the contract Gaga bound herself to create another Parfume with the company if FAME is selling certain numbers. So she HAS TO do EdG even tho she does not want to do it, and this makes her unhappy, her heart-project became a business thing all about sales and success, kind of what happened with her music I might ad. In comparison being the model for Versace, or in this case being an ambassador for Tiffany's is a way to promote/work with a company she likes/has vallue for her, and she's getting paid for it. And while she is promoting the brand, she is also putting her name and face out there, which promotes her. And once she's done, she's free to go and if both parties liked how it worked, maybe they do it again.

I did say that a few replies back and that would make more sense to me. I don't understand why she couldn't do that on her own though. Why does she need to be attached to a brand?
