This thread just reminded me she needs to get back to making pop music.

Joanne is definitely pop music.

OT: the only thing I don't want her to do is make it more about politics than music. I hope she doesn't make some overly-long politics-driven speech that cuts into her music time. As long as there are at least 2 or 3 Joanne songs, I'm more than ok with whatever combination of older hits she chooses.

Anyone that says she shouldn't perform BTW, I mean like wtf, it's her third and last #1, she needs to perform it.

You know what i meant. Like not country or folk inspired pop music, with things like soft rock or brash vocals. More along the lines of her pure pop, electropop music.

at the end of the day I just want her to enjoy the moment, she's gonna be good nontherless

the only thing I would kinda hate is if she goes full Joanne on the looks, I want a mixture of her past aesthetic with just a touch of Joanne :crossed:

I see little trumpets bothered by her involving politics in any way, so she should definitely do it. :trollga:

What should not happen? Pink cowboy hat, guitar and Million Raisins. :interestinga:

I hope she performs it too, but I doubt it debuting at #1 had anything to do with quality of the song. She was on top of the world at that point. Whatever she picked as a lead single was going to smash!

I would consider a fun silly song like A-Yo more "pure pop" than any of her "EDM-influenced pop" from before.

That being said, I'm sure we'll get more EDM Gaga music! She knows many of her fans love her because they love that type of music! Even if she doesn't do another full-on EDM album, I feel like her next album will contain more of that than Joanne.

It's still something we could use to our advantage 20 years from now in the pop culture history books :applause:

I wasn't shading BTW! I was just saying, I don't think a song debuting at #1 necessarily makes a good song. That "pillow talk" song also debuted at #1, and I don't find that song to be any less terrible for it.
