You guys say you want to respect him, so do that!

Scroll right on past my comment and post your respects, instead of dragging out the drama after I made sure to add "not trying to offend" to my post.

That was me letting you know I don't want to start drama but I still think something needs to be said. And thank goodness I said it since clearly nobody else is going to.

Saying "not trying to offend" doesn't make something non offensive though. And nobody was going to say anything because that's not what this is about, nothing needs to be said other than Rest in Piece. Now you're giving yourself a pat on the back for saying it? You're painting a fictitious version of a man you don't know and making assumptions based off of no information. Please, can I just respectfully ask you to stop?

I'm not trying to offend anyone, but this sounds like a substance abuse issue.

And considering Gaga's history, she should learn from this not to be a figure who glamorizes alcohol abuse in her work.

Yeah, and it could've been a car accident, suicide, illness, murder, etc. We know nothing and have zero clues as to what happened, so there is no point in jumping to conclusions and twisting this into a life lesson. If you're concerned about alcohol abuse, then go make a thread about it.

Cold as ice cream, but still as sweet.

Just pay your respects and move on. This is seriously not the place.

if you weren't trying to offend you wouldn't have to include "not trying to offend" in your post.

My small group of friends from high school were devestated to learn of Scott passing.  I just saw him over xmas at our local thrift store w his mom and we talked for over an hour while shopping for wigs together.  He was the most insanely talented person and we always knew he'd go on to make clothes for 'famous people' growing up.  To assume it was alcohol is a shame on you for posting, u don't even know the guy.  You should delete your ignorance before his amazing mom reads it.  And even if it was, adults can do what they want and most artists are tortured souls.  And his soul was the nicest and funniest and god damn did we have some laughs.  The kid could make anything and always made women feel beautiful in his designs.  He will be missed deeply.

For everyone's information...We've learned that Scott died from a sudden illness which led to acute pericardial effusion, which can also be described as excess fluid around the heart. This ultimately caused Scott's heart to fail. We believe that he passed very peacefully in his sleep, with no pain or trauma.

Thank god Jane, his mom hasn't seen these comments.  I work with her.  She and her sons (father had passed) are great people.  Anyone who knew Scott would know that, but not knowing him I would have wondered why so young also.  Anyway, there's your answer.  Keep his family in your thoughts, thanks for all who donated on his gofundme account so his mom can bring him home.

I was just googling to learn more about Scott and his design. He was the best friend of one of my family members. (A family member who is not involved on recreational drug use.)

I just want to say that, yes, even though drugs and suicide always do come to mind when a young, healthy person dies suddenly, no, that was not the case for Scott. He was just exceedingly unlucky.

Not that it matters. He deserves love, respect, and rememberance either way.

I just think it might be hard for his family to stumble upon this thread and see some of these opinions. One day, their son had a bug and went to bed with a glass of water and a box of tissues. The next day, he was dead. It is shocking and scary and confusing and tragic. They had to do an autopsy and everything. That can not be easy. But it is nobody's fault.

Please be kind. As hard as it may be to wrap your head around sudden death, it does happen, and I guarantee it is hard for his loved ones to accept, too.

RIP, Scott.

And, the rest of you, I urge you gently to get your flu shots. Xo.
