You were obviously not joking since you seem to agree with the ban. You were trying to be funny, which didn't work.

Not being bothered by this ban does make you selfish, no matter how you try to put it.

I was joking with my phrasing, it's obvious. Stop reading into things.

Also, okay call me selfish. I would be very against it if it weren't temporary, and i understand why he put it in place. I wish it wouldn't have to be this way, but i understand why its happening. That is what i think, so call me selfish. I wish we can just have open boarders all the time but it's just not what we should be doing right now as a country. Thats just my opinion though, i get if u think different. Don't attack me for it.

Alternative facts on GagaDaily:

Trump administration bans people based on religion, technically banning an Oscar nominated film maker from attending the ceremony.

*Trumpsters complain saying the title is clickbait makes it seem like Trump banned him specifically (which in the end, he DID no matter how you twist and turn it)*

*the title to change to an awful, passive word contruction thats is hyperlong and hard to understand since half of it is cut off when displayed on the website*

What was the original title?

Cold as ice cream, but still as sweet.

So sad that some of you guys here are more focused on/bothered/annoyed by a mere headline style than you are actually upset by the real horror going on, to real people, in the real world...

With such a disconnect from your empathy / compassion, can you really say that you are any different from someone like:

Making up falsifications or rewording things to sound more dramatic is not the way to shed light on those horrors.

The exaggeration that the media portrays is dangerous to society and is misinforming.

Okay well he's your president too.

lol no he's not. :awkney:

We are not all Americans here, but unfortunately his decisions and policies affect the whole world.

Work on your empathy, you are extremely selfish, you're supporting a discriminatory ban, which won't even make you safe. It gives false sense of security to naive racists and bigots. None of the terrorists in the US were nationals of the countries on the ban list. You have homegrown terrorists, more discrimination (and torture) leads to radicalization. You need to read more about these issues, this is embarrassing.

I didn't attack you. I called you selfish, which is a fact not an attack.

Some of you are more upset about the title than this ridiculous ban, that says a lot. :nails:

I'm sorry i assumed you were. You seemed very involved and also very bias. Also, learn to respect other people's opinions and stop being immature. Theirs 2 sides to every situation and all i said was that i understand why it's in place and i am not totally oppose to it (not totally there for it either). It's discriminatory, but do u not understand WHY it's in place? Listen, this may help something or it may not. Its temporary. I think your the one who needs to check yourself. Also yes we have alot of issues in our country like these movements, police brutality, etc. and no that isn't all Trumps fault either. We are trying to deal with those and this is going on while we are. It's not just naive racists or bigots, i've heard alot of people who are moderate on political topics agree or disagree. That doesn't make them racist either. Stop giving everyone a title and running with it. Sometimes this is the real problem. Deeming everyone who thinks something as a name, or calling them things all because they can see both sides of a situation (or lean towards the other way).

Stop putting me down because i don't agree with you.

Nothing about the title was false or exaggerated. The film maker is banned from the USA (probably for the next 4 years) because of Donald Trump and cannot attended the ceremony he is nominated at. He got banned by Trump, along with millions of other people.

You're just playing devil's advocate for your own moral highground. (Which is literally one of the reasons why the orange weeman got into this position in the first place) :noparty:

Non-sense! Being upset that people are exagerating and not being truthful doesnt invalidate being upset at Trump also. Your making it sound like 1 takes attention from the other when it doesnt. It was an observation i took 20 seconds to type

Believe it or not, it is possible to be upset at 2 sides simultaneously if both twist the truth

This isnt just about the title, its the attittude it represents. Just because Trump isnt a good person and doesnt have our approval doesnt make it to be adding salt and pepper to what actually is said or done by him.

The Muslim ban enacted by President Donald Trump will keep the Iranian director of an Oscar-nominated film from this year's ceremony, according to reports.

Asghar Farhadi's film The Salesman is nominated in the Foreign Language category. The film follows a high school teacher who seeks revenge against the perpetrator who attacked his wife in their apartment.

I hope the winner for the Foreign Language category acknowledges Mr. Farhadi and his movie and comments on the ban.
