Finally.

Spoiler

She should've said goodbye when it debuted at number three. In all seriousness, i kind of get the like for "Me Too" but its just not that great, and NO was okay but the whole album of "Thank You" was atrocious. She wrecked her whole image (not really, but did u notice how her name hasn't really gotten bigger since 2015). I don't think the answer is doing more doo-wop inspired throwback songs, but i do think someone needs to step in and make sure things are running smoothly for album three. She also needs to make her hair blonde again. But yeah. Truthfully, besides that awful publicity stunt with the Me Too video, i don't think Meghan is the problem here. I think Epic spent all their payola in the wrong ways (i.e NO stalling on pop radio at around #7), and thought Meghan would naturally have another TITLE era. They need some better producers, and they need to step up their game. I want the best for Meghan, but they need to stop. She needs to make a seriously good song again, to prove she isn't a "joke".

ALSO, EPIC is the ****ing WORST. Since 2011, all they've done is mess up things. Like I think they've gotten a bit better since ruining Karmin, Cher Lloyd's careers (botching Ciara's, Avril Lavigne's) but Title was more of a fluke that they managed well. I don't know if that success gave them a budget (?) but they were doing well up until the end of last year. Especially on this album too, like stop messing up things. They ruin everything.

Interesting. I have to agree

I don't think you know the meaning of generic because a 60s doowop inspired song with lyrics about embracing your body is hardly generic.

this is stupid. y'all just quote with me and put demi's pic cuz you have no valid rebuttal.

AATB is not generic, point blank. And lemme add fuel to the fire---come to mama is on par with meghan's first album.

mmkay.

i get that people don't like meghan, but it's entirely inaccurate to call her music (at least from her first album) generic. It's just not. Generic would be Zara Larson's music, or Bebe Rexha, because it literally is paint-by-numbers electro pop. Or Demi's or kelly clarksons bland adult contemporary pop-rock.

Meghan released doo-wop pop music amidst all of that.

In case you haven't noticed...Rihanna's current single Love on the brain is this sound. Similarly, Gaga out of the blue did a similar sound with Come to Mama.

Whether you like it or not, Meghan single-handedly kick-started that trend.

Yeah, very telling that she gave up after just 3 singles when most artists nowadays release at least 5. One flop and it was all over. The music industry is brutal. It still baffles me why Better flopped so hard. It was one of the few decent songs on that album and it was commercial. The video threw her fans, I know, but since when did a music video that wasn't universally adored stop the song doing well on the charts? If Drake can get a #1 for weeks with a song with no music video, why couldn't Better even scrape the top 100? She has such a strong YouTube presence that the lack of notice that was taken of Better really astounds me.

The blonde hair looks so much better on her. I liked the red initially but it ended up making her look older than she actually was. I also hope she goes back to her old style next album because it suited her so much better. The Meghan on Thank You just didn't seem like the real her. Very few artists can pull off an image change from their debut to their second album successfully so I don't why anyone still thinks it's a good idea.

It's generic doo-wop, though. And Come To Mama is not that sound. Meghan did not kick start the trend. That was started by Amy Winehouse in 2006 and extended by Bruno Mars in 2010. So to say that Meghan started a trend here was really inaccurate.
