If this shithead thinks that it's just a ‘Oh, I can just go get an abortion.’ then he doesn't understand what is it to be a human being.

It takes more than one "oh" to get an abortion, it's days of thinking and nights without sleeping. it's not an mtv tv show about a scripted blonde girl that cares more about her iPhone than the fetus in her belly.. it's real life and real people that needs to take a big decision in their life and a devastating one.

If they want to cut down on abortion rates, they should guarantee Planned Parenthood's continued funding, push for more thorough sex education, make contraception cheaper and/or have it be covered by health insurance, and realize that even if you somehow outlaw abortions, that only stops safe abortions from happening. If you take away a woman's right to go make her own healthcare choices at a professional an sanitary clinic, she'll either end up doing it at home an risking her own life or she'll bring an unwanted child into an already overpopulated world.

How can these people be so damn ignorant? It's like they're totally detached from reality. They need to stop calling themselves "pro-life" when they're simply "anti-abortion".

In my opinion it's rooted in sexism and misogyny. They won't promote anything other than abstinence because to them women aren't meant to enjoy sex. Forcing a woman to carry a child to term is their form of punishment. ("she should've kept her legs closed", "don't have sex if you don't want to risk getting pregnant", etc.)

If pro-life people really cared about those unborn children, they would be in favor of programs that help low income families, free healthcare, increased funds towards the deteriorating foster care system, among other things.

They should call themselves pro-birth because once you're born they couldn't care less about you.
