Yes, by getting involved and fixing the problems from their roots, seeing whats wrong with society there, what problems make this behaviour, what infrastructure they need, hows education, hows their access to jobs, how well their basic needs are being fulfilled.

There whole upbringing makes them shoot each other. Education and all that won't help them, Obama gave up and abandoned Chicago when he came into office. They need more policing, it is out of control.

I don't want the feds dispatched by an unqualified bigot's administration patrolling the streets and targeting anyone they want, which is exactly what would happen. Besides, it wouldn't actually do anything aside from making life more difficult for the people that live there. It'd be security theater at best.

That's what a dictator does. A President will sit and find the roots of the problem and craft a solution to the problem.

How, even Obama gave up on Chicago. There needs to be better schools, more policing so everyone is safe, and programs set up to get people out of the system. I think we should invest in free college in Chicago so they can get a good education.

This is literally the most short-sighted and misinformed opinion I've read about this. 

What is that gonna do? Send a bunch more people to prison, criminalizing them all and doing nothing to get to the root cause of it? What good would that do? Our criminal justice system is a FAILURE and will do absolutely NOTHING to fix this. Only make things worse and put more and more people into the slavery conditions that is the prison industrial complex. 

"More policing" seems to be the go to answer for everything and yet it ignores the root causes of crime which consist of wealth and income inequality, little community investment, few community resources overall, a massive disparity between affluent communities and poor communities, a shitty education system, the school-to-prison pipeline and other things. 

If this is the best answer you have to addressing this problem, then we will never fix it. 

I implore you to get educated on this issue and try looking at the bigger picture rather than a simple "fix" you falsely assume will help anything at all. 

We've done more and more policing, our communities are more policed now than than they ever have been, we are pretty much a police state. More policing hasn't fixed the issue before, and it certainly isn't going to do so if we have even more of it.
