Doesn't seem like a helpful idea to me. In 1980 us gays would be lucky to have police participation. We're getting too big for our britches. Who gives people who are not apart of the LGBT community the right to come in and say do this and don't do the other. It's not a float that rejects BLM at all and they should understand that. Yes, Black Lives Matter and Pride Toronto fully expect to boot Toronto Police Services out of Pride and still have protection from Toronto Police. You should too. That is what we pay police to do. 8. Besides, what does specifically banning police floats do for the black or native community? What was accomplished and promoted because of that? Should all the officers in this day and age, who by the way, are filled with people of colour and varying sexualities still be punished because of that? I think the most positive thing to ensure respect between the police and minorities would be to actually be able to celebrate together.
