I don't have much to say. Privately-run schools here have better reputations than public schools, but of course they are more expensive. I don't think teacher's unions and government bureaucracy are helpful. Private could be better, or it could be worse. I don't see how it's controversial since she is not suggesting people pay for childrens' basic education.

 

As for Betsy DeVos, from what I've heard... I like her!

Betsy DeVos, President-elect Donald Trump's education secretary nominee, said it should be up to states whether guns are allowed in schools, citing grizzly bear protection as part of her answer.

She also said she would support Trump if he moved to ban gun-free schools zones, a position he advocated on the campaign trail.

It is illegal and unconstitutional to make a federal law mandating/impacting state education

You don't care about the expense of private schools do you? Some parents have to work multiple jobs and could barely afford to take care of their families. What would you have done if it was Hillary? I can't with some of you Trump supporters . I guess when Trump starts to screw up you can always blame Obama right?
