Betsy DeVos and her family have contributed $200 million to the Republican party Betsy DeVos and her group owe the state of Ohio $5.3 million for election law violations — a record fine that is now nearly a decade past due. In August 2008 Betsy DeVos's mom, Elsa Prince, gave $450,000 to support California initiative against gay marriage. She lives in Michigan. In 2004 Betsy and **** DeVos (son of Richard, Doug’s brother) led the effort to put the anti-marriage amendment on the ballot and contributed over $200,000 to the campaign to enshrine discrimination into the Michigan constitution. In 2008, Richard DeVos gave $100,000 to Florida4Marriage, which successfully campaigned to add a state constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage. In 2006, the Richard and Helen DeVos foundation reported a $540,000 donation to Focus on the Family, a Colorado-based organization that stridently opposes gay marriage. The organization donated $400,000 to support Proposition 8 last year, which was successful in banning gay marriage in California. .... And yet I'm a LOT less worried about Betsy DeVos than Scott Pruitt and Rex Tillerson for obvious reasons (RIP earth forever, goodbye to all species, the human race was a mistake, etc.) There's nothing harder for people to do than admit they were fooled. Like seriously, for the education lady, that question was a BASIC question that everyone who ever studied economy or management or any science really should and must know. A mess. And the one for health care, Bernie asked again a very simple question and he didn't even get a proper answer. I'm sorry, but this is all turning into one big mess. My dream, since I was an adult really, was to go to America and to stay there since I saw it as a land of possibilities, growth, justice, open minded intelligent people.
