Apparently TMZ is the only news source worthy of trust with Gaga and the super bowl situation so i would take this as speculation.

And also, i don't see how making a political statement is a good idea and i cannot stress it enough. Why is the fun occasion of the Super Bowl now about making political statements and bringing in such serious topics? Looking at the whole picture, its taking a situation where people are for the most part united and reminding them of a divide. Bad Decision.

I would have loved some amazing guests that would blow everyone away, but now I'm kind of loving the idea of it just being her. Lord knows she doesn't actually need anybody else to make it a great show. It would be kind of epic to do the whole thing alone and remind everyone (again) of her incredible abilities as a performer and singer and show off her epic catalogue of hits.

Part of me still thinks someone else will join her though. All these conflicting reports and rumours about the show are actually a perfect way to hype it and surprise everyone. I do think at the very least Mark and Kevin Parker will join the band at some point.

And, on a random note, I remembered how fantastic her performance with the Rolling Stones was that time and thought they would make amazing guests to join her too. We'll see what happens; either way she is going to do an amazing job.

I don't think she'll make a super specific political statement with the show, I think it will be about peace, love and acceptance in a more general way, which is what she's always done really.

For example, I can't imagine her bringing a giant version of the 'Love Trumps Hate' sign on stage, rather it'll be something more akin to what Coldplay did last year which felt very positive and joyful and about coming together, but obviously the Gaga version of that. Who knows though, she could be really blatant about it after all.

I agree and am hoping she'll do that too. Mainly because it isn't such a heavy political statement. Its just really not a good place to try and make points and it'll do more damage than good for her.

This makes perfect sense. I don't see how Gaga could have transitioned through her hits (which really all sound so unique and different) and still have other guests with sounds of their own.

Economy

On the bright side, she has 12 minutes to herself

I dont mind this :)

Guests rob some time giving her less time to sing her discograpgy

The sad thing is Gagas universal message of love and acceptance best exemplified in BTW is a political message. In trumps presidency such a message is even more political. That's the only political message she would ever preach and IMO that's not political, that's just a human

If say Beyonce joined her for Telephone, all I can imagine is the news here going like
'Lady Gaga was the halftime performer and put on an impressive performance'
*shows a few clips of Gaga*
'But the real highlight was when Beyonce joined her to perform their 2010 hit Telephone'
*shows mostly Beyonce and talks about just Beyonce*

Maybe I'm just being paranoid

Do you feel him sir?
