I mean I think the solution is very simple, she just needs to physically come over here and do some promo like she used to. I don't think the problem lies any further than that. And if I'm wrong and they still don't play her after that, well I have no idea

Exactly, like it isn't that hard to come over and do promo. Imagine if she would do what Ed Sheeran is doing and have a Red Room at Sydney Opera House.

In my honest opinion I believe the local media here turned against Gaga simply because she was (and still is ) vehemently pro-marriage equality, and Australian media (and their bedfellow, the government) are so against marriage equality. Plain and simple.

It disheartens me to remind the entire English speaking world that Australia is the only English speaking country in the world that does not have full marriage equality.

Ohhh that could very well be a reason. I mean Gaga is very pro-LGBT-rights and vocal about it. It's sad really, that we're in 2017 and that this could still be a reason to hate someone, or in this case, not play someone's music.

Well that's good for you but this thread is literally about the fact there's no plans to push Gaga onto the radio here. :ladyhaha:

I mean that doesn't really make sense. They release singles and that's it. She already had VSFS air there with big ratings and called up all of the major stations. That's more than most American artists these days.

Yup. I know. Sometimes I feel like Australia is the richest but most backwards country on earth.

lmao the fact that no one can't accept the decline of quality of her music and that Joanne is mainly targeted for American audience...

The sound, design and everything. And it's reflecting the sales. It's selling good in America, but outside no one cares.

I believe that is the same issue everywhere for her, her label is not paying $$$ for her new music to get a spin on radio that is why you rarely heard it, if ever. It's business, get over it.

And just today I heard some random Australian radio dj  shading her half-time show saying they had to book Taylor Swift for the pre-show since Joanne was such a big flop and her come back failed. I also heard a few DJs shade Perfect Illusion after playing it when it first came out.

Haven't Australia been like this since Born This Way?

They were one of the first countries to believe in her, now they have kinda abandoned her and it's sad.

In my messy era.

Born This Way was her most successful era here, actually.
