What do you think of Gaga's acting as Scathach in Roanoke?

I'm curious. I know she wasn't given a lot of scenes, but she was given a lot of attention in one of the episodes, I think it's episode four or three.

I personally was quite impressed by her portrayal of Scathach. It's somehow different from the Countess, and I thought she showed some improvement, she's got the knack for it imo, which is why I'm so excited for A Star Is Born.

Somehow Gaga made her tiny role of Scathach seemed pleasant to watch.

I especially liked that scene when she was explaining her past (and making love) to Matt and that she was dragged by the men with no respect given to her because she was perceived to be a witch.

She was barely there this season. Especially compared to Hotel. But of course she was brilliant!

It was too short to really tell tbh, but I thought she did just fine from what we saw of her.

I feel that it's slowly improving. Some parts in Hotel—not gonna lie—very cringeworthy, but from this season of AHS, despite not being as present in the story, Gaga delivered. However, I feel she's always playing a certain type of character, yet perhaps A Star is Born can allow her to flesh out her acting abilities and open her up to a variety of roles that are not the sassy Queen of Slayage. Like, I don't want her to be like Matthew McConaughey for the rest of her acting career. Gaga has a lot of potential, but she just needs an excellent guiding light to help her find that potential. Maybe Daddy Cooper can be that light?

I remember wanting her role to be very toned down because I wanted her to go out of her comfort zone since The Countess looked and dressed very similar to Gaga (even though Elizabeth still thought and behaved very differently). I originally just wanted her to play a farm girl (the irony *cough*joanne*cough*) and I wanted her to have a lot of scenes with Sarah and Kathy (I would have loved to see Sarah as her sister and Kathy as her mom) but I have to say that I was very happy with her new character. 

I think she did a good job and I think this smaller role helped her acting getting recognized and praised by many people who disliked her portrayal of The Countess. Scathach episode is still one of my favourites from Roanoke and I've watched it several times...

What I didn't like about the character is that Ryan "spoiled" the fact that she was "the first Supreme" without explaining it in the actual show and I also hated that this character was presented as a very powerful puppeteer who was in control of the lost colony and The Butcher herself BUT she became useless right after her episode. 

I get that Gaga was very busy but they should have come up with a better storyline with an actual end instead of having that character basically disappear.

Ryan also said that he wants to explore the mythology and a few characters in Roanoke in future seasons (maybe the Coven x Murder House crossover) and if they'll bring back Scathach she will be played by another actress because, as we all know, Gaga only played an actress who was portraying the witch in "My Roanoke Nightmare"not the actual witch. And that's frustrating because Gaga was the one that made us interested in Schathach and giving the character to someone else seems reductive
