Preexisting conditions protection

Allowing young adults stay on parents' plan

Contraceptive coverage (which makes ZERO sense, given their hardline stance on abortion)

It's f*cked up way too many people to be considered a successful law/policy. It needs to be overhauled, maybe even replaced.

Obamacare recklessly tried to reach a goal (insuring all Americans) and didn't take into account the damage done to everyone else's plans along the way.

And the American people we fundamentally lied to when Obama sold us on it LOL. "You can keep your doctor and your plan if you like them", BULLSH*T HAHAHAHAHAH!!! NO ONE got to keep their plans and the majority of people had to switch doctors.

The government should be telling us which doctors we can go to and what private insurance plans we can and cannot buy. No thanks stay out of my way.

Anyway, on-topic, i don't have much to add but in my opinion, America will never get to the level of western europe/scandinavian countries because of their taxes. I think most of them are just used to the lavish lifestyles they can live because of the low taxes (even tho they think they are high), and they simply will never get used to cutting on their unnecessary expenses for the sake of free healthcare, free education etc...  At least thats the impression i got from watching random american videos and hearing stories. Just a crappy example would be when a person has the Iphone 6S which costed a fortune, and in a year, when their phone is still perfectly fine and running, the new Iphone 7 comes out and they just HAVE to get it. Like you would rarely ever see that happening in europe. If your phone is decent and working flawlessly, you will not get a new phone until its broken or something.

It has a lot to do with the American culture where they would kill for every penny and judge people based on their incomes, which obviously happens elsewhere too but not to that extent. There are just too many people with the stance: "Why should i pay higher taxes with my hard earned money for strangers to have healthcare who refuse to even work" but most of them don't realize its for themselves and their family not to have to pay 3000$ for a regular checkup when they have a cold.

The Republicans had 7 years to come up with a replacement plan if they were serious about it and they DIDN'T  That's disgraceful tbh. They were so busy holding benghazi hearings and holding the government under lock because of things like abortion that they didn't even have time to come up with a comprehensive replacement? 

I don't believe any "Trumpcare!" bullshit until he actual unveils it. That means NOW, not later. They don't even care to reassure the millions of people who may have a potentially long period without healthcare (for that matter, do they even care to try to cover the majority of Americans? I can't honestly say I expect Trumpcare or w.e to be good). The idea that they want to repeal Obamacare without a backup plan is just so ****ing irresponsible to me. Like, how jaded and not compassionate do you have to be to think this is what's best for America. America is not just some fictional wonderous idea in someone's head, its the actual people who get up every morning and live here, and even with all of ACA's faults, it is still in their best interest to have healthcare.  Yeah, premiums went up (though honestly, some of ya'll need to do your ****ing research. Premiums go up for a reason and a lot of it has to do with opposition; Also, the ACA is full of compromises. How do you think it passed  There are lots of things in it that yes, do make it expensive, but exist for moral reasons (E.g, paying for people with pre-existing conditions) and honestly, I support it  If that makes me a socialist or whatever, idgaf, I think its reasonable (I'm not even a capitalist anyway). I know when people hear the word "taxes!" and "premiums!" they scream, even though the GOP gives tax cuts to the wealthy and penalizes people for being poor and even middle class  They are the people you should be angry with tbh.

Also, to those who voted to get rid of coverage for people with pre-existing conditions? Like WHAT? Do people not realize how ****ing evil and greedy that is? It just feeds into the entire system, and the worst part is that it doesn't even make sense in the GOP's ****ed up idea of meritocracy. Imagine this scenario:

Someone works hard entire life, contributes to society, works two jobs to pay for school, gets job, gets married, climbs the ranks at said job, makes decent wage. They start a family, then gets cancer or some other disease by off-chance and has exorbitant hospital fees for medication. They didn't ask for this, they worked "hard", didn't take "handouts", etc, but now they might die because they can't afford medication or surgery or whatever? How does that scenario fit in with this idea of not asking for handouts and what not. Are people supposed to just have worked harder? Had richer parents, had higher aspirations in life? What does the GOP have to say about this very realistic scenario? "Sorry about it?" They have the power to make things like this not happen nearly as often (or ever in an ideal world) but actively work against it.

Because they expect people to practice abstinence until they find and marry a good Christian or Evangelical person and pop out 6+ kids. They're crazy but that is their only reality in their small, narrow, pathetic minds. Next they'll introduce a dowry bill.

But when someone's that hardlined they probably have some massive skeletons in their own closets. It's like this family that lived next door to my aunt and uncle. They had like 6 kids. He has a Christian radio station and my aunt was all about how they were "good Christian people." Turns out this good Christian man with his Christian radio station had been cheating on his wife for over a decade and the wife didn't know. How do you even reconcile that kind of hypocrisy? And the thing is the husband and wife separated and he still has his radio station and last I heard was living with his mistress.

For those of you hating this just because it's Trump, both of my parents work in healthcare and EVERY SINGLE one of their colleagues including doctors, nurses, pt, ot, etc all dislike aspects of Obamacare. There are many flaws that screw with their ability to provide the right amount of care to people who truly need it.
