Thinking John Wayne would be a slow boring song that was 100% country 2. Thinking Sinners Prayer would be a government hooker part 2 in terms of lyrical content and theme 3. Diamond heart was about her engagement with Taylor 4. I thought the studio version of Sinner's Prayer would be as catchy  as the first dive bar performance 4. I thought John Wayne would be the worst song on Joanne and now I love it. I also thought Sinner's Prayer would be like you say. Reality 67,117 Posted January 8, 2017 Share Posted January 8, 2017 I thought Diamond Heart was going to be this really great pop song (still a great song, but definitely more pop-rock oriented) I thought Sinner's Prayer was going to be an incredible rock track. I was most excited for it when we got the tracklist names.
