Questlove? You think that irrelevant influenced Gaga? Haha, no, if there was any influence, it was the label, ever since Jimmy Iovine left and John Janick took over there's been this change in their artists and poor promotion choices from their A&R team.

A demo is still a song... Most people talk about working on or recording a 'song', they don't feel the need to explain that it's a demo and not the polished version.

A demo is still, by definition a song "A demo (from "demonstration") is a song or group of songs recorded for limited circulation or reference use rather than for general public release"

Redone recorded around 8 songs (most likely demos - I doubt Gaga was wasting time and money mastering and perfecting 8 songs when she still didn't know the exact direction of the record). One of those songs was Angel Down. Whether that's reflective of every song they made together or whether Angel Down was the 'Grammy- worthy' song he was talking about is unknown.
