The themes about love, family and life in general are obvious. An album doesn't have to tell a cohesive story to be good... I just don't really get your point. + I don't really get what's the 'story' that Glory is telling. Your thoughts feel like a little bit of a reach, I think. A storytelling album is Beyoncé's Lemonade, for example, or Bjork's Vulnicura. Glory is not like that. Honestly I didn't put Lemonade because I haven't purchased it and I don't have Tidal to stream it. So I couldn't really compare the two because I've only heard Formation, Sorry and the other single that I can't remember the name right now. I haven't listened to a Bjork album in a long time and I have not listened to Vulnicura. If you say it's that good I will give it a listen. I'm just comparing two albums from two pop star Diva's. Honestly I'm a bigger fan of Gaga but this is just my opinion on these two albums. It's jsut an opinion nothing more. I don't expect everyone or even anyone to agree. It also has quite a few references to her heritage, black culture and the Black Lives Matter movement. I just re listened and I still dont get it lol. Not sure how it references black culture or the Black Live Matter movement.

It's basically: she tries to win him back, she tries to break up, she tries to win him back, she tries to break up. I don't know its just my opinion. Just like every Britney album: songs about love, breakup, sex & dancing 1 hour ago, LoisLilMonster said: Yeah, okay, but I think it's just trying too hard to get a story out of Glory Because Glory doesn't tell any story lol 1 hour ago, Delusional Aura said: Was this a thread to drag joanne? Gaga said this isn't a concept album as well as explained what it is about: You wanna drag the Joanne's music videos? Fine by me, just look this mess: But don't try coming all up in here trying saying you could barely make through 10 of Joanne's 13 songs and then continue to compare with a woman who's lip-syncing is her next important thing to breathing. Or, a woman who doesn't write her own songs. Or, a woman who can't even play an instrument. So girl, BYE But Britney did co wrote some songs on the album as well as came up with several melodies for many songs of Glory, plus Britney can play an instrument. ‘If religion be the cause of disunity, then irreligion is surely to be preferred.’ ‘Abdu’l-Bahá

How is Joanne a cohesive effort that has been thought out from start to finish to tell a complete story. It's obvious Gaga has better vocals and lyrics but they don't come together to tell a good story as a complete album. To the people having visceral reactions how are you even being objective? It's a collection of stories from Gaga's life. What's the sotry behind Glory, that BS is a wh0re and makes cheap music? We had already noticed, thanks.
