PopThatArt 2,193
Do you think society, and I mean actual society, as in people in the real world, not in media or in Hollywood, give a damn about pop music anymore? Is it over? Is society tired of having certain "popstars" media basically selects and tries to force down everyone's throats and telling us all "like this music, buy this music"? Has society developed their own mind and judges music for themselves? Whereas media and pop fans have not? Fans keep saying Gaga's new music isn't pop chart friendly, pop radio friendly, etc, but why is this a bad thing? Why do fans think pop media latching onto the music is so important? Isn't it better for us to like a variety of music and have different music tastes? Not just all sit around fawning and fan girling over the same music or song or singer? I think Lady Gaga is ahead of the curve with Joanne, she knows dance pop isn't what society wants right now, there is an oversaturation of it in the market. (And by pop music, I mean as it's been known for about the past decade, the dance pop bubblegum stuff) Go see A Star is Born

PMKKARDASHiAN 8,570
It's not over. It'll come back. Late 80s: madonna, Michael, cyndi Early 90s: grunge, rock Late 90s: britney, nysync, BSB Early 00s: rap, r&b, hip hop Lates 00s: gaga, Katy, kesha, britney It's just a transitioning. It always moves from one genre to another, but each time it comes back it comes back with a more updated sound. Pop will be back. Pop will never be done.
