Monsters have lost touch with reality, reality is not pop charts and number ones, reality is family, reality is life, and lady gaga is fully in touch with her reality, Joanne is her reality, it's her family, what the hell is number one? What the hell is pop charts?

What is her career choice? What is its job description? :oprah:

Battle 4 Ur Life

the GP will automatically reject anything that doesn't sound like Meghan Trainor or Diplo. no one wants originality.

Hate to admit, but true. Wich doesn't mean I don't like that bop...
But GP are not used to this I guess :nails:

The GP were not used to everything Gaga has released, her music from TF-ARTPOP would be too dance/loud for them. But she persevered because she was too determined to push pop music boundaries into the GP's ears back in those days, but now i think her artistic obsession with Fame has faded away.

The song was screaming, unconventional structure, too repetitive and the callout scores on radios were BAD.

Basically. It positively rocks, but from the very first listen, I knew that, without a lot of promo, it wouldn't work.

PI is too much straight up rock and roll for current top 40 radio.   I don't think top 40 radio gives their listeners a chance though; they may appreciate a less homogenized tracklist.  Pop radio though is all about copycatting.

Unbalanced promo. Lots of radio interviews, non-existent on television. A shame cause the song is so damn good.

It's all about the promo, it entered Top 40/20 on the Hot 100. And i just wonder why they couldn't recreate that promo power from Born This Way anymore

The song is a grower. You won't definitely feel it on the first couple of listening

No promo, video didn't help, too noisy, not radio friendly at all...

This. We can blame promo all we like, but from memory everyone knew the song, but just didn't like it..

Interdumb Records missed the opportunity for Slay-O. Everybody would be bopping to that chorus endlessly, especially the addictive Ay-O Ay-O part
