(minus a couple I could barely screenshot because they're unimportant lol) All of these characters are conceptualized by Melanie herself, as she gave us a glimpse into the world she's created through her album. A different world to ours world reminiscent of fairy tales, nursery rhymes, Alice In Wonderland, and Mark Ryden paintings (some of her cited influences) And once you put all the characters together you can really see what a strange, beautiful, mysterious,and sometimes dark world it is. All the characters are in chronological order from the start of the album to the end, and I'll update once Mad Hatter is out. I've also tried to take screenshots of every character's 'looks' in the video to capture who they are... Lets get started!... (obviously spoilers ahead! The Doctor -Delivered Crybaby when she was born -Performed Mrs. Potato Head's plastic surgery. -He also allowed Crybaby's mother to smoke in the hospital, and his surgery on Mrs. Potato Head was less than perfect. -Has made appearances onstage during the last leg of the Crybaby tour. Crybaby's Brother (child) -Was present at Crybaby's birth -Stood on his tippy-toes to light their mother's cigarette for her immediately after Crybaby was born -Named Crybaby by writing her name on her birth certificate, after a comment their mother made. Delivery Nurse -Announced that Crybaby was born a girl -Took Crybaby away when her mother complained about her crying. Crybaby's Mother -Is an alcoholic -Hooked on prescription drugs -Knows her husband is cheating on her but chooses to ignore it -Tries to keep up appearances of a happy family by dressing everyone up for photos and making them pose and smile -Eventually snaps and murders her husband's adulteress when he brings her to their family home Crybaby's Brother (grown up) -Smokes weed -Doesn't listen to Crybaby Crybaby's Father -Blatantly cheating on his wife -Must think she's 'f*ckin' dumb' -Buys her jewelry to keep her quiet and ease his conscience -Works at the drug company -Says he's working late, when he's out cheating Crybaby's family -Highly dysfunctional and have many problems -Hide their problems from the world -Everyone thinks they're perfect, because they don't see behind the curtains Little Girl With Problems -Plays with her dolls in the attic, and acts out scenes vicariously through them to vent her problems The Slut -Sleeping with Crybaby's father -Has a silicone ass -Is murdered by Crybaby's mother Gramophone Girl -Carnival worker -Is in charge of the music -Possible sinister tendencies Crybaby's Love Interest -Doesn't reciprocate Crybaby's love for him -Is leading Crybaby on -Is 'two faced' around her -Into tall girls (Crybaby is short and has to wear heels) -Is playing with Crybaby's emotions like a game -Will never actually let her get close to him Share Hair Twins -Carnival workers whose hair is braided together -They run the carousel -Possibly friends with the love interest, and help him make a fool of Crybaby Water Gun Race Worker -Runs the racing game with the water guns and horses -Fairly neutral in the story -Just doing his job Alphabet Boy -Has a degree in art/music -Acts condescending to Crybaby and tells her that her art/music isn't good enough -Thinks he's smarter and better than her because of his degree -Thinks that music has a formula that must be followed -Treats her like a child -Cares only about the money not the art Johnny -Is dating crybaby -Is unintentionally intimidating to Crybaby, and makes her feel afraid to confess her love -Eventually takes things to the next level with her and 'takes off her training wheels' and 'rides his bike with her' -Endearingly and flirtily calls her 'f.ckin' dumb' for the stupid sh.t she does -Loves crybaby Grocery Cashier -Doesn't care much for her job -Nonchalant attitude -Somehow knows things, may be a 'seer' -Gives Crybaby wolf poison with her shopping The Big Bad Wolf -Owns an ice cream truck to lure his victims -Also loves sweet treats -Drools while he searches for his next victim -Has an underground lair -Abducts Crybaby, locks her in a room underground where noone can hear her, forces her to make him cookies 'or else' -Sits on a throne in his ice lair and watches her do his bidding on a TV screen -Should have thought twice before answering the phone -Would have cut off her head, and displayed it in a jar on his table, covered in ice cream scoops, if she didn't obey him -Actually evil and disgusting -Also made appearances onstage during the most recent leg of the Crybaby tour -Handed out real milk and cookies to meet and greet ticket holders before the show I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin. Mrs. Potato Head -Loves her husband Mr. Potato Head and finds him charming -Will do anything for her husband -Wears jewlry and nice clothing to feel good, but lacks confidence -Takes diet pills to be 'perfect' for him -Goes through with plastic surgery per his request to please him -After her surgery is botched she is cheated on and has a depressive breakdown -Wears a hat with a white flower, just like Mrs. Potato Head toys from our world Mr. Potato Head -Woos Mrs. Potato Head with gifts and jewlry -Also pressures her constantly to be 'perfect' -An Emotional manipulator -Pressures her to get plastic surgery to look how he wants -Tells the surgeon what he wants done to her -Gets angry when she isn't 'perfect' post-op -Cuts her hair while she's sleeping to force her to wear a blonde wig -Cheats on her and possibly repeats this manipulative and abusive behaviour with the new woman -Is actual scum I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin. Also if you look in the video she appears next to him holding the sign "you must be this tall" wearing massive heels so she meets the height requirements.
