It must have been a crazy ride for him; being a child during World War I, a teenager during the Roaring Twenties, starting his adult life at the same time as the Great Depression, then World War II... And also, witnessing the evolution of the way animated films are made! I mean, Bambi was made by hand! They drew and painted each damn frame on cels by hand!
