I'm lowkey a Sia stan, I'm aware she is Vegan She kept chickens in a way that is completely consistent with how many US farms keep chickens and she killed them for what I would consider a frivolous reason. I really don't see much of a difference between sacrificing animals for food or for religious purposes. Both seem frivolous and unnecessarily cruel to me. I'm not defending AB's cruelty to animals, I just think there are more respectful and effective ways to discuss animal cruelty without dragging yourself into a sensitive discussion that's tied into people's religious and cultural identity. You're right, AB's religious beliefs are not common - she belongs to an already misunderstood and stigmatised religion - all the more reason to approach the subject in a more tactful way.
