What does the USA have to say about interfering in other countries' elections?

The US are the ones who use CIA-backed coups to depose democratically-elected leaders, usually for business or dominance purposes, for example, Mossadegh in Iran (look how that turned out), Jacobo Árbenz down in Guatemala, Joao Goulart in Brazil, etc, etc, the list goes on and on.

It's insane to hear this kind of talk coming from the mouth of the very worst of interferers!

I don't even believe this, and think it's just a fiction to sway public opinion, but if it is true, then judging by the great results (yay GOP) let's hope they interfere more

We are hypocrites. The CIA does have a history of intervention in other sovereign countries (coup d'état, general destabilization, etc.) but these aren't as simple as you are making them seem and we both know that (esp. because in some classes, classified documents have not all been declassified, controversy and bias surrounding information regarding the instances clouds the truth, etc. etc.) 

That being said, Obama and the white house know more about this situation and Russia than we do, and honestly, im kind of okay with this from a symbolic standpoint. Even though I too think this is just a gesture to let people rest easier rather than an all out last-ditch escalation with Russia (not that that wouldn't be warranted  ) It does make a statement.

Honestly, there are a lot of bigger "criminals" at fault to me than Russia, even knowing they hacked the DNC and more to influence Trump's victory. The Republican party has rigged the system themselves in a more substantial, long-lasting way than Russia ever could and until we start looking at actual concrete ways of taking some of the power away from partisanship and giving it actually back to the people, things like this are bound to keep happening.

(The sad part is that it was still barely a win coming down to a few thousand in key states and not even close in terms of actual popular vote; so people can gtfo with this whole "Liberals screwed themselves over by being so PC and by nominating Killary, an unlikable, unwinnable candidate!" bs  )
