Current music trends or not doesn't mean it'll be a hit, sexualised lyrics etc doesn't mean it won't. Bad Romance was a hit and shouldn't have been by all accounts, PI was perfectly tailored to be a hit and wasn't it's not as simple as everyone makes it out to be.
