Don't You Think It Would Have Been Silly If....

Lady Gaga released another dance-pop album in 2016? I think it would have been rather silly for her to make Joanne a dance-pop album like Monsters wanted. Everyone is still riding this obnoxious wave of electronic music or dance pop music, nothing changed in 2016, nothing has changed in quite a few years, it's all this electronic music and this electronic dance pop, it's gotten so unoriginal and boring and everything sounds the same. Say what you want about Joanne but the one thing you can't say is that it sounds like everything else being released these days. And Gaga's past 4 albums have been that dance music, why should she be expected to do nothing but dance or electronic or pop? I get people are fans of the dance/pop/edm stuff, but there are also those of us who like different styles of music, such as what Joanne is, why should only the dance pop fans be the ones Gaga appeases and appeals to and tries to make happy? Why should she ignore other fans of other styles?

Anyway, my main point, it would have been rather silly, in my opinion, looking at 2016 and having Gaga come out with another dance-pop edm album.

I want Square Enix to hire her for the soundtrack of Final fantasy XVI.

If she isn't a main character.

It would please the masses, but probably not herself. And she is about what makes her happy these days not necessarily the people who demand things from her.

REALITY

I don't want to be that guy who says it, but, I suppose to play devil's advocate, it probably wouldn't be silly of her to do that. It's what she's known for, and it's what people like from her. I mean, she's not known for songs like Til it Happens to You or her C2C era, she's known for making great dance-pop hits.

That being said, I do agree with you. While I will always love and adore Gaga for her dance-pop/electronic pop music, I like for her to branch off and do other things. I mean, with someone as unpredictable and as versatile as Gaga, expecting her to stay in one particular genre just doesn't make sense.

She's just making music she loves, and I'm totally okay with that. Of course, obviously, not everyone may not be, but I'm just glad that she's just making and enjoying her music.

It would've been nice for her to deliver a solid pop/dance/electronic album.

Been a while since she's done one of those. :usrs:

I know, ARTPOP was released in 2013, time flies

OT: I would have prefered a Rock Pop album

Basing it on her body of work dance-pop has always been her strength, She was at her peak because of this. So no I really don't think it would be silly for her to go back to it. There are plenty of highly regarded albums that are dance pop including the Fame Monster.

I'm glad that Joanne doesn't sound like anything else on the radio. Yeah, dance-pop music would be cool, but I'm in no rush. There's already 4 albums worth of it to listen to.

Plus, who knows? Maybe Dance-PopGa will make ha return on The Joanne Monster :sis::poot:

It makes me so happy that I can listen to Gaga's albums without feeling I'm listening to the same bodywork with different release dates.

Plus, her most acclaimed albums are dance music. Just because it's dance, pop and fun doesnt mean it has no quality and material in it.

No, it wouldn't have been silly if Gaga had released another Dance/Electronic album, considering the fact that it's that type of music that she has perfected many times, throughout her young career, and her last album was Jazz. In fact, it wouldn't have been silly if Gaga had released any type of genre of music that she felt like making.

I don't understand why you are calling this "wave" of Dance/Electronic music "obnoxious", especially in a forum of a traditional Pop artist. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, but that won't stop the fact that there will always be a high-demand of more Dance/Electronic music, or Pop music in general from Gaga.

Also, you do realize that Joanne still has some Dance/Electronic elements there and I wouldn't call a genre, which Gaga has been making music in, "obnoxious","unoriginal","boring", or sounding "the same". Would you call Gaga's Dance/Electronic music that? :laughga:

I think you do not understand what the fans want in general. I love Joanne, the album, not the song. But the songs are lacking in substance. Apart from Million Reasons.
