I'm very happy Gaga creates what she wants to her own artistic vision, and puts as much such work as she's allowed to into her albums.  She liked the music video, so I'm proud of her for releasing it.  A-YO and MR are both her songs and she would have been happy with either, so she might as well release the one that the fans apparently wanted more at that moment.

Her artistic integrity is paramount to her.  Releasing music and videos that may not be as popular to others as they are to herself, is proof of her integrity.

Sure, she wants her fans to have the best that she can deliver, but in the long run the best might be defined as the most authentic and what she creates from her heart.  Personally, I would rather have the true Gaga than an image of what music and videos I think I want at the moment.  I want her to create for herself, not for me.  I think her masterpieces could be created when she is unchained from commercial consideration.  Then she could create her Picassos, even if many don't appreciate Picasso at the moment.

I think her worst enemy is the basic and narrow minded GP. The people who say stuff like "Oh wow she's actually pretty", or "Who knew Lady GooGoo could actually sing?", or "I didn't like her when she was wearing all those attention seeking clothes, but after the Oscars I have to admit she's talented." These people annoy me.

It's this shallow variety of music listener that ruining everything for Gaga now. She's stuck between trying to appeal to them while also trying not to isolate her long time fans, and I think she's kinda failing at it.

I think Gaga's recent direction in her career is a good thing.  It seems many here are blaming Gaga for this change in direction.  I applaud her for it.
