Actually, by the time she releases DIC as a single (if she does), I think this latin/reggaeton-ish trend will be pretty much already dated/over, so we shouldn't see the song as an assured hit.

Funny how everyone hears something different in DIC. To me there's not so much latin influences, more Arabian. Shakira also has a lot of arabic influence in especially her earlier work, probably stemming from her Libanese heritage.

Shakira is one of the biggest names in Latin America, like, ever. And Latin America is kinda of a "Loyal" public (I mean go check, the Shakira vid is the biggest vid on YouTube since it's release, getting like 8kk views per day) and I think both voices would sound good. Shakira ia truly nice.

Rihanna\Gaga reminds me of Silly Boy and Sexxx Dreams.

 

and Nicki...I don't think it's really a good type of featuring for the song tbh. I like Nicki and she's talented, but putting a rap in the song...idk. Nicki maybe KILL with the verse, but it also might just end up like "Flawless"; it's a good song, a good remix, but it didn't go really far.

This clearly has latin vibes. I'm from latin america and the song has that reggaeton, dancehall-esque vibe wich reminds me of latin music, mixed with some country, folk elements. That's why I think this song should be a single, it's commercial, but at the same time experimental. What it needs to smash is a collab on the bridge 'cuz man that part it's weak af.
