SB thoughts - hype and timing

*No hate to gaga/joanne/her team/her vision/her dogs,horses,chickens etc/her farm life/this era*
So first of all are you hyped about the performance and second do you think this is the best time for Gaga to do the SB?

I think that it would have been much better to do it during her BTW/TFM era. Also im not really hyped but i want to see it. I think for once that the SB should dictate more of the performance rather than Gaga, cuz i dont think she would go full on epic concert on her own at this point. Imo if she were to do this on her own she would do a divebar-esque show rather than a rock or theater performance. NikoPanda should do wardrobe and boomc*ck needs a second chance too.

There's literally nothing we can do about the SB now. She has it this era, and the NFL cemented the talks after hearing Joanne. What she decides to do about it depends entirely on her and how she works around the NFL's requirements.

We have reached the point in her career that asking her to bring her A-game to a performance (which she usually does still) is seen as selfish or indifferent/insensitive to her mental health, which is true in a way but also severely limiting and frustrating as a fan at times.

I'm just praying everything goes well.

I'm glad the SuperBowl Halftime show is happening this era. She didn't need the extra publicity during her earlier eras.

She does. Her dive bar shows are great and very soulful. Joanne is a really good album. Her live performances have been great. She delivered that VSFS just a couple weeks back. She had killer heels and wings to rival the living dress. One video does not mean she lost her A-game. Maybe you're confusing working within an aesthetic/mindset that you don't like as a bad performance.

I mean yeah, the only reason why (some) fans are still hopeful about this era is the SB. If done well, Gaga will get a major boost from tour tickets, + streams, + justice for ARTPOP and Joanne will be iconic. I'm glad she didn't do it before, post-2015 Gaga is the best vocalist she's ever been and I still think she can get the world shook if she wants to so I couldn't be more hyped. Applause at the SB I'll cry.

I never realized this applied to me until I read this--but not for the era, for Gaga in general. I'd still look forward to her next album but I might stop stanning as hard as I do now if even the SB fails to lift her up

It makes sense. I'm pretty sure LMs would have been way more critical of Gaga and Joanne, and many would have left, if she wasn't doing the SB. We still have hope... If everything pans out it'll mean more hype for LG6 (which should be more commercial ) I'm sure this is all part of Gaga's plan.
