How does she continue to dance though?  :oprah:

Adrenaline and passion. I would assume when she's performing she's so determined to put on a performance that she puts the pain on the back burner in order to deliver a great show, like athletes that could hurt themselves in a game but can go back on the field and finish the game but end up hurting afterward. Plus she isn't a quitter and doesn't want to let us down but it caught up with her.

That scream though :sharon:

I wonder to what extent her change in style has to donwith her chronic pain

maybe shes relying more on ber voice now and being less "exiting" cuz her body just cant :(

If so, there goes any hope of the old gaga coming back in any future era :/

I don't know if she's playing it safe or not or if it's the genuine direction she's going with her career. I'm not a doctor, but I would assume that a lot of the pain would be remnants of the surgery. I believe she had a tear in the actual joint where her leg meets her pelvis, I would assume that that's a very painful spot because no matter how she moves, it has to hurt a bit. Not sure on that one.

I think she can dance, I mean we've seen her at artRAVE but I don't think it's kosher to push as much as she did with the monster ball and BTWB. I think people realized that now, new management or whatever. We went from like 200 shows on the monster ball to like 90 on the BTWB cut short to 70ish on artRAVE. I think she's still there, but in interest of her health things had to be scaled back a bit. Her health is irreplaceable.

Yeah. And she did say on a radio interview her body cant take what it used to.

Another health worry of mine is her on and off smoking and how it could ruin her voice or lungs

Maybe its just me but have you noticed she gets out of breath quickly? If she moves around even just a little her vocals no longer sound flawless and she sounds tired quickly 😳

smoking reduces lung capacity because some of the alveoli that take air and process oxygen into blood stream stop working. You may not have a lung desiese per say but its function is diminished

I wonder if that may have happened with Gaga. Not to judge her, but as a fan i can worry :/

I think it's obvious from watching her, even from far away, that she doesn't prioritise her health enough in general. I know there's the recent IG post about the chronic pain and the work-out stuff we've seen glimpses of but in general, I think she doesn't really calculate in down-time enough or does actual constructive build-up work, she mostly seems to go for healing when necessary. This is of course of what we can see but we don't see her going into gym's. In New York or LA she might have them at home but there's no record of that whatsoever.

And as much as we like to speculate that her "lack of energy" or cohesive choreo is due to the hip injury, she was in skyscraper heels very fast after breaking that hip. Now I'm not saying I don't believe in the seriousness of her condition, but ask any specialized doctor. Those heels were hip recovery no-no #1. She also HAS done choreo since (in major heels might I add), it just wasn't good choreo. And I'm looking at both Gaga and Richie for that one, because Gaga doesn't seem to be "in it" as much but let's face it, Richie is also a better dancer than choreographer. The BTWB still leaned heavily on Laurieann's choreography and ever since then... **** hit the fan. Judas was her last good choreography. G.U.Y was cute but nothing like the energy of Pokerface or the synchronized gorgeousness that was Love Game. Laurieann was a huge fame-***** (her flopped singing career is absolutely atrocious) but damn it that woman choreographed the most iconic routines Gaga's ever done. The artRave truly had the worst choreography of her career. I don't ever want to be reminded of that horrible chair routine in my life. She looked like she was STUCK in them chairs. How no one stopped her is BEYOND me. I cringed at that choreo every.single.time.

Also, everytime she releases something she's like "LET'S GO" and it seems like an unscheduled mess. The Perfect Illusion release for instance...

Instead of performances at radio stations and the countless interviews spread out over weeks, it could've been a one day pre-recorded press junket (with outfit/minor decor changes so it LOOKS like a new interview each time) . She's done those before and so do most other artists. I get that they (management) might want media impact spread out over a couple of weeks, but that's why there's contracts to spread the airtime cohesively. Let's say Entertainment Tonight for instance get's the scoop on day 1 of promotion, GMA interview segment goes on day 2 along with multiple written interviews (magazines etc.) and then tv-stations from across the world go on day 3, 4, 5... You name it. In between she could've done half a day of phone interviews from her damn couch instead of GOING to those 400 radiostations none of use really cared about too much. She's an established star now. It's about MAINTAINING her success, not putting in the legwork (excuse the pun) that an unknown act would have to do in order to get played on radio.

I know it's very "Little Manager" of me but honestly it seems so unprofessional when I look at her schedules. Instead of 400 different radio interviews she WENT to, we could've done with some phoning-in to those stations and 1 major performance on Ellen or GMA or Today or Late Night... But no. :nails:

So in conclusion, I personally would like her AND the management to prioritise more. And have Richie as a consultant (which he is now since she's practically not dancing this era) and work with new choreographers.

#AllIWantForChristmasIs... Gaga Choreography.

Not sure in that department, either. I just trust that she's taking care of herself and has the best treatments/doctors/whoever possible to take care of her too.

King Baldwin IV

She is a saint to have been able to handle all that pain she went through. Bet she was devastated to cancel the remaining shows...

I always tell people that we don't have the "normal" celebrity/fan relationship with gaga. We're like surrogate kids to her in a way and words will never even come close to being able to describe the strength of her love for us. She pushed herself because she loves us so god damn much. She was in mind numbing pain and yet she still performed. If that isn't love, idk what is

I love you monsters. I'd be unfixably broken without you

i still can't even fathom that she danced after it happened. Such a strong person

She did it because she loves us so god damn much. If someone can look at this and say her love for her monsters is artifical, they need to get their eyes checked. She still performed even though she was in mind numbing pain. If that isn't love idk what is

she hasn't smoked since PI came out I believe. She talked about quitting. It's all talk yeah but we haven't seen one pic of her with a cig since she said so.
