I will start with a popular guess:

The Skype Ball was basically a messy online encounter with some awkward fans who weren't able to ask her good questions, while she stood there acting super awkward and most of the fans could not speak with her and everything ended very quickly, breaking all the hype that were settled for the event.

That link made it seem like I've already seen the entire MV  can't believe the MV was included in an art era. If you ask me, Terry isn't an artist but a Gaga fetish perv. His photoshoots are incredibly ordinary anyway.

Give me Ruth Hogben directed Venus video over it any day. Just look at the Intel commercial video she made

I am personally hugely emetaphobic (clinically diagnosed fear of vomit) but I don't think the vomit performance is as cringey as other ARTPOP-era mishaps.

I love Joanne and Million Reasons so much but the more I stew on that music video, the more I dislike it. Poorly shot and directed, and just lacking the quality you'd expect for Gaga. Not every video has to be Bad Romance or Judas (don't fight me on that one), but there's a difference between rush job and simple. I enjoyed Edge of Glory, I felt like it was a fun video that really showed us how Gaga saw herself in ten years. That was a really solid simplistic music video. Great visuals, accentuated the song, and really gave a solid aesthetic. I totally understand the emphasis on family and authentic emotions that she was going for in Million Reasons but it just didn't land. Get a director, girl! And a real cinematographer while you're at it. I know she can do better, and that's why it's so messy to me.

Other honorable mentions

-Abramavic method. I watched the Artist is Present doc, and I like some of Marina's pieces, but this was just the weirdest decision and did nothing to endear anyone to ARTPOP, or reversely, shock them into investigating.

-Space performance

-Flying dress (so ugly, so pitiful).

-DO WHAT U WANT JESUS CRUST THIS NEARLY MADE TOP SPOT. Terry, R Kelly, the video, everything about Do What U Want is horrendous. I flip back and forth on liking the song tho, ask me tomorrow. Terry really is a Gaga fetishist, there's no other way to describe it.

Wow, long post, sorry guys. Yeah, as you can tell, not a big fan of a lot of the ARTPOP era messes, but I always appreciate Gaga's efforts to go out on a limb and try new stuff. She's always interesting, and that's so rare these days.

She said she spent her hip recovery watching all the Real Housewives shows + Andy Cohen, cause she couldn't do anything else while being on bed but watch tv. Before this scene on the video she drowns in the healing pool. Notice how all of it on this scene looks like a dream, lighting and everything. The housewives look silly and happy, like nymphs. It's like picturing her dreams and fantasies while she recovers from her pain.

I think the intention is that the housewives helped her during her recover by creating alternate realities to escape from her pain.

That Skype Ball truly was a mess.  I remember that like yesterday.  The people chosen, the questions, the abrupt ending, the whole look.  It was fascinating!  

I'd say attracting certain fans but I'm not shading. 😉
