I also don't think they should give up up singles, you never know what will unexpectedly connect. P!nk was in a similar situation with her I'm Not Dead era, Stupid Girls ruined her radio, the next single Who Knew didn't even chart, but the third single, U + UR Hand became an unexpected hit which in turn also made Who Knew a hit and renewed the album sales.

Let's not pretend it is not a flop... Katy Perry would have done the same with a new single everyone would scream 'FLOP !'. Even if MR flopped it's not the end of the world ^^

If MR is not a flop, we should consider Perfect Illusion, MTN and GUY as hit songs...

Different situations, the gp didn't like PI or GUY at all and were lukewarm with MTN, people didn't like the songs so they didn't play them, I accept and understand that. But with MR, people obviously love the song, but radio refuses to spin it.

Very true, but at least TEOG, Applause and DWUW ended up being hit songs... To me, DWUW is her biggest mistake, this one has been so mistreated and did actually great ! It would have been a smash for sure with a great promo..

DWUW could have been a huge hit. I am really upset about that. The others ones I'm not upset about to me they were big hits. Even BR didn't make number one and it was huge! Top five is still a big hit. Top ten is still a hit. But DWUW could have at least made it to top three easily if it was managed correctly.

so i was watching this top100 most DOWNLOADED song in youtube, and I bumped into this bop..

i remember dancing to this every time in my younger days, without even knowing the lyrics just numa numa yeh.. and i hear this every now and then during parties..

surprisingly, it is the 4th biggest single in France in the 21st century with 1m plus sales and sold around 4.5m in Japan (bigger than gaga's single sales combined) what a bop..

now lemme look up my childhood dance bops, aka macarena, ketchup song, crazy frog.. etc

CIHT-FM Ottawa 29 spins

slay, Ottawa, I guess. Toronto is just too urban-leaning especially with Drake, et al
