If you're approached as a foreigner, it's logical you decline towards a President that spent his entire campaign using them as the blame for the working class' problems. Of course Andrea (Italian) declined, of course Celine (Canadian) declined. Is he going to invite Becky G (Mexican) next? Cause I can tell him her answer already.

No self-respecting foreign-born artist is going to take that gig out of pure principle. And any high profile American-born artist will think about it twice too.

nice assumptions... and prejudice against all the foreign support Trump has received.

I doubt any sensible Canadians or Italians were brainwashed into thinking he's closing the borders and deporting first to third generation Americans. come on now, even a million Mexicans and other Latinos who won him Florida (alone) seem to have gotten his intentions despite all the "fear Trump" propaganda (and Hillary's empty pandering.)

you're basically saying that people who are easily led/planning on getting smuggled and/or becoming criminals are the only self-respecting foreigners. doesn't sound like Bocelli to me.

Let's face it, a popular country artist would be the best choice. Someone has to perform and they'd probably be the least affected because a high percentage of their sales demographic voted for Trump.

let's face it, this is only more prejudice and simply not true if you look at how close the race in the country-loving states was and how many non-traditional Republican demographics he managed to win over.

But the real A-list mainstream popstars would all be smart to decline since they would suffer a huge backlash by being associated with him.

I'm surprised they haven't approached Taylor Swift. She's been very mute this election season. Her decline would cost her some fans and her accepting would hurt her career even more. I'd be here for it. :classy: Her silence this past year spoke volumes.

aaand you basically agreed with my comment.

the manipulative moral-high-ground hysteria created by the media is a perfect illusion constantly fueled by the vanity of the entertainment industry (among other things) and those same artists who are too chicken to endorse Trump. it has nothing to do with their political views and everything to do with virtue signalling. that's why campaigning for a criminally incompetent politician will be my number one disappointment in Gaga even if she started looking like Jocelyn Wildenstein. all politicians are essentially business people, but it's not oligarchy that's corrupting this world. vanity is.

It's not too late for Trump to save Azealia's career and get her to do it.

She wants to be a singer and not a rapper anyways right? :gum: She'll sing the national anthem, then Kanye will join on her on stage :ladyhaha:

if you have a working moral compass you wouldn't want to be caught dead there unless you're holding a sign in protest.
