That language is Arabic and it's understandable why people believe that.

It's not tho. People should educate themselves.

I already gave you examples above.

So you don't think that people believe Arabic is a language synonymous with terrorism?

CLEARLY from this video they do. But "perhaps unjustifiably"? Perhaps? Really?

Do you think it's okay if I believe every English speaking person is a frickin KKK member :saladga: It's just as bad.

What they believe is wrong and YOU should help educate people about that instead of defending bigots.

Of course it's understandable, it's shoved down our throats 24 hours of the day by TV news, which is most peoples chosen news platform.

The news exists to inform people, so it's understandable that people feel sufficiently informed after watching it.

I don't think it's always racism, it's probably more fear then anything else. I don't say it's okay, but with all the things happening around the world, people are just scared.

Millions of ME Christians speak Arabic. It's one of the most spoken languages in the world. It's not normal to be afraid of words you hear and don't understand.

I've already responded to this point:

I say perhaps because it is a fact that some of the terrorist organisations do speak Arabic, but then again they also speak English, French etc. which is why I'm not certain as to whether it's justifiable.

What we can be certain of though, is that the media does try to tell us that a large number of terrorists are Arabic speaking. I don't think we can blame people for believing that, can we?

-

Calling people racists is not helping to educate people. They're not being bigots, they are expressing discomfort, which in my opinion is understandable.

It is when the language is persistently linked to terrorism, whether that be wrong or right. What don't you understand about that?

You didn't answer to this

Real life examples.

When you say "it's understandable" you are justifying racism. No one associates English with anything evil, no matter how many white English speaking serial killers exist.

It is not justifiable to label any language as synonymous with terrorism, simply because of the fact that for every terrorist speaking said language their exist a large number of innocent people who also speak that language.

I agree that a large number of terrorists are Arabic speaking. However, that does not make Arabic-speaking people terrorists by default.

Only bigoted and uneducated people will link it with terrorism.  It doesn't justify the ignorance.

The first is wrong, the second is not relevant and the third did not experience any type of issues because of his language, he merely felt that he would.

That's the point you're not understanding unfortunately, I don't believe it is racism and therefore, how can I be justifying it?

It is not, when Arabic, Urdu, Farsi, Hebrew all sound the same to a white bigot American.

Just because you believe it isn't racism doesn't mean it isn't. This IS racism (or discrimination to be more precise), and you are in fact trying to justify it.

Who said it did? Obviously nobody here is stupid enough to think that all Arabic speaking people are terrorists. Yet, as you've just said, a lot of terrorists do speak Arabic which therefore means that the two have become synonymous.

You are justifying, by denying it. :toofunny:

Okay so my opinion is an opinion, while your opinion is a fact? :toofunny:
